Kane looks great. Taker looks good but the head sculpts are not that great. Looks like they repurposed the ghostbuster head on one of them. They should have used the head sculpt from the Bret/Taker 2-pack, the one with the teardrop tattoo under the eye.

That Kane is one of his best figures ever made, just needs a beard. That Taker is awful. A complete bust. Old man taker faces done terribly, one of them looks more like Michael Jackson than Taker. The top half of his body looks ridiculous.

The top torso for Undertaker makes this figure look to exaggerated
I was hoping we were getting the Kane attire that has the mesh on the chest.

My opinions...
Kane
Pros: Cape is amazing, shine on the boots, "molded" belt, the details are amazing. This is THE perfect Attitude Era Kane, they will never top this.
Cons: 2nd head is pointless, hope he has different hands, "C-cups" don't fit this figures needs, I really hope forgetting the details in the belt are a mistake. His torso is too muscular, needs to be "beefier"
Undertaker
Pros: Beautiful details. Love 3 different expressions for the heads, I think the cloak is a combo of plastic and cloth? if so, thats nicely done because it wont sacrifice too many details but still seem like a better item. Love that he comes with the thumb hand and a flat palm
Cons: 2 of the 3 scans look too modern, true-fx just doesn't work here, I'm pretty sure they are both re-used heads which doesnt fit the era, and the one that does looks off. Having both the wide C hands and the regular C hands is silly and a waste.

Taker would look much better if the top half of the torso wasn't so wide under the arms
I'll 100% be trying to get multiples of both figures.

Going back to this, I think the Kane is a work of art. It might even surpass the Hollywood Hogan as best Ultimate Edition imo. Mattel really outfit themselves and finally have us tall laceless boots, a new Kane mask sculpt, bigger arms, torso and molded belt. The only thing that could of made it better would be to include the new basic head (although in my eyes, there’s something wrong about that mask shape). The UE on the other hand is all over the place. The detail and sculpt work is fantastic. However, it suffers like the UE Fiend from looking too top heavy. The proportions look odd. I also don’t like any of the scans upon further notice, they look too old and retooled. I think the Taker is one of the few guys who they keep using old scans from and retooling. I hope they try and correct some of these things.

I don’t have complaints very often, but Taker is very disappointing IMO. All three heads are awful. As someone mentioned before two of them look too modern, and the third is Michael Jackson. The goatee is too light as well, it was pretty dark back then. The rest of it looks awesome, as does Kane. I was looking forward to getting both of these, but now that I am questioning buying Taker it’s also making me question if I need to get Kane if I’m not getting Taker. Lots of really good looking reveals today, but this one was super disappointing to me.

Takers torso is way weird looking. The scans are worse.
Kane is as legit a wrestling toy as I’ve ever seen!

That Kane is a masterpiece!
I like the all-round look of Taker, but - like with the UE Jeff Hardy - the beefy upper torso really lets it down... I hope this isn't becoming a "thing" with Ultimates.

Going to get both, Kane is a thing of beauty, Taker could be better, I’m trying to look past the heads but the mismatched torso sizes are killing me.

When did Taker start wearing mma gloves? Not 1998? Good talk. I'm okay with the gloves on Taker. They're not 100% accurate, but his 98 gloves definitely had padding in them that makes these look close enough for me. Least of my issues with the figure.  |
