I think we need more trunks versions. Compared to trunks Macho’s we have gotten quite a few post trunks Macho Man figures. RR HOF DM UE SDCC Slim Jim Ultimate Maniacs (E44?) RSC NWO RSC Wolfpac WalMart TNF E24(?) E38 RetroFest Bash at the Beach 3-Pack Trunks Macho Man’s DM RSC Macho King TRU All-Stars L5 L11 I'm genuinely curious - what's left for the trunks attires? Mega Powers is a glaring omission, silver from his match with Zeus, and I think I remember lime green with no stars. But I can't remember any others that haven't been made. Though I wouldn't mind the purple Macho King figure getting a re-release. Definitely would like those, Mega Powers from Summer Slam 88 and the silver attire from Summer Slam 89, two top wants of mine. Also want his WrestleMania 5 in elite form with the entrance robe, glasses and headband. And yes, he did wear a green attire with no stars on them most notably in a match with Andre on SNME in late 1988, great attire, would like that one too.  He did wear the green tights with different robes:    And we definitely need a lot more colorful cowboy Macho's, mainly to make PJ's head spin... I could think of 20 easily that I would still like. |

Every Billy Gunn figure has been from the New Age Outlaws/Degeneration X era. I don’t mind that much, since it’s still the Mr. A$$ attires, but I would love if we got a Billy and Chuck era Gunn figure, or “The One” Billy Gunn, or even a 2003/2004 Billy Gunn.

Honestly, it's an interesting question whether they even can. As an example, the company I work for has a product endorsed by a Yankees player. So we can use his name and image, but the images of him we can use in our ads can't be ones with him in uniform (basically as part of the deal his agency did a photoshoot and videos with him and our founder, so we had a lot of material to work with for marketing images). I'm not even sure we can say the word "Yankees" in our marketing, because we don't have a deal with the team itself. And the pinstripes...well, they're a pretty major brand identifier. I'd be interested if Matty actually could incorporate it into a figure.

It's always just interesting choices.
Like I am happy we got the Purple/Red HHH which are great Prime DX run HHH's and we got the Chyna two pack and the Elite 23 from 2013
And then it's like DX army HHH. And I won't complain it's awesome we have full assortment DX Triple H now for our collections.
Then we have 00 Triple H and 01 Triple H.
And there's nothing wrong with that; but it's like knowing Mattel we will get like a Fully Loaded 1998 Triple H and like like another similar attire before we get them trying a new
King Of Kings Triple H that's elite or like even White Triple H WM XX Triple H or them doing a better scan on like 2007-2009 HHH
And I love that the line is expanding and were getting more variety instead of with Jakks. You literally had to buy that DX Shawn-HHH Classic Superstars Two-Pack and that's the only HHH you have to rep that era.
But it's like they're hardwired on only making certain figures.
Like the new legends Edge I feel like they're just going to give us two attitude era Edge's from his first singles run or brood era repaints. And when we get flashback Edge that is all we are going to get. Most of us have been screaming for RA Era Edge's. I'll even take like 2009 Era attires.
I love Shawn Michaels attires from 1996-1998. But; I think were fine for now. Now if we can get WM 19/RR 03/ and the Basic 100 in Elite I will buy it. But; like please give us Chaps Shawn from WM21-22-23-or even 24. But with Mattel if they make chaps HBK it will be some irrelevant attire or an attire we quite didn't need. Like WM 26 HBK would be awesome in Elite; but the issue is he wouldn't be many peoples first demand.
It's like when they want to give us flashbacks of a guy; it's one single era of that guy. I would love to have a 2001 Era Rock from like the Invasion. But we typically get 1999 and below Rock's

I think of the In Your House Mind Games stuff with Mankind attire; or the Street fight with Nash. That's actually shocking to think about we never really got many babyface Michaels champion attires. Even the Royal Rumble 97 Shawn would be awesome Yup, agreed. It shocks me RR97 has never been made. And honestly, we really haven't gotten 95 either outside of the Network Spotlight SummerSlam 95 with no entrance gear. That's why I'm looking forward to the upcoming Ultimate Edition. No matter which one wins the poll it'll be form that era. |

The first RSC exclusive, the Target Hall of Fame, the WM 22, and the RSC Edgeheads. Those are all RA era Edges. We only have 2 Attitude Era Edges. We have only 1 racing stripe Edge. If you’re talking about his pre-Rated R Superstar gimmick, then I agree. But Rated R is an Ruthless Aggression-era gimmick. And I’m talking only Elites. |

I think Bill was mostly joking there, but yeah...I think even if they went that route, there'd have to be some sacrifices in the design to some extent to "get by". Earlier in the thread, I mentioned the E76 Cena where his jersey barely gets by in that it's gray with a dark blue number 3 on the back. The Funko Pop depicting Cena in the same attire gets to go all out, because Funko has the license to produce Yankees products. |

So we've gotten some; it just feels like large time periods elapse between us getting new Edge's from RA. The RSC Exclusive gave would be three years between Hall of Fame series Edge. So there has been some RA Edge's in circulation. But I think when you are big fan of that era; and the amount of time that elapses it gets pretty frustrating. Let alone; when the SS series dropped. I understand Summer Slam 98 was Edge's PPV debut. But; I think an Elite of Edge from SS 06 or SS 05, 04, even 01 or 00 would of been more iconic then the 98 attire. I just have feeling with Mattel's logic that's what we are going to get a AE Edge in the upcoming line. |
