It's gonna be tough. For now, I'm OK with $19.99 for Elites. I mean last year, I was able to get a good number of Elites from Walmart for $14.99 and $16.99 at points. $24.99 is a price I can live with for certain figures. I got quite a few discounted 10 percent off on Amazon as well. But if they go up to $29.99...oof...
I would still collect the figures, but I'd likely try to look for more sales or discounts wherever possible.

Hasbro upped the price of Star Wars Black to $21.99 at my local Walmart or Meijer, I forget which, and they still can't even sell that late 2019 set with Luke in the damn yellow jacket with the RoS characters. Distribution has been very bad for years now, too. I don't mind paying $20 for Mattel Elites, but I really hope we don't see any widespread increase for a few more years, realistically speaking. My Walmart has them for $16-$17 right now, and they sell pretty well at that price whenever they feel like stocking them.

My local Target here in Los Angeles just raised WWE Legends to 22.49 and raised AEW figures to 24.49

peg warming will be way more prevalent if they go over 19.99 price point..

I’m okay with prices going up and I’d gladly pay it if they’d make more FTITL legends.

A big price jump will limit what I get at retail.

When I heard Hasbro was going to increase price, I expected MAttel and McFarlane to "compete."
I am actually done with ALL Hasbro as they are pushing a certain ideology. I heard rumors and be prepared for an onslaught of ads.
We live in a time where no one lowers prices to compete, they raise.
I am close to being finished with my Mattel Collection. Only so Much, Hogan's, Warriors, Macho's, Hitmen, Flair's I can buy and yes, those are the figs that sell.
It's phenomenon with all companies actually. Only classic characters sell, modern characters, real or fiction, don't sell.

I am hearing on the inside, lots of bad things for the past few months and now seeing news articles push a certain agenda. You can always look to see what the corporations and/or "elites" are doing and tie it into reality. When the next lockdown happens soon enough, just a warning, to be prepared. Figures should take a backseat and perhaps the rising prices are a sign to fans that pieces of plastic are just that.
