I heard this word a lot and I’m just wanna make sure that I’m right about it, I may sound stupid but is peg another word for shelve ?

They’re the things the hang from shelves that Target and Walmart love to display with nothing hanging on them.
Peg is also a great Steely Dan song. Steely Dan > retail shelves.
I’m “reeling in the years and gathering up the tears” from never seeing anything in stores.
and then I go “back, jack, do it again” and still find nothing.
Steely Dan rules. Look it up kids.

Ya know what they say about stores with big pegs?
They obviously sell more merchandise than other places, so they can be allotted more product at one time.

Go to Walmart….look in the Wwe section….what you’ll find are empty hangers where the figures should be, those are called pegs….Walmart has an abundance of them in stock everyday

To answer seriously, "Pegs" are indeed the things that figures hang on.
However, some stores (such as walmart) use both shelves and pegs. In these cases, you can assume the usage of the word "Pegs" is referencing all of the space available to hold figure stock.
