I agree with you, people always say that about his TNA run but he was the best heel on the show. It was good television. People do it with Omega, the Bucks and Cody all the time. Like they shouldn’t be on the show because they are VP’s. They are 4 of the best talents on the roster, of course they’re gonna be featured. yep. it’s ignored that these stories unfolding, which clearly have been planned in many ways far ahead of time, all leads to all of the elite’s eventual LOSSES and who they’re putting over as the faces of the company in the process. And I also think they are EXTREMELY conscious of the perception of them and that’s why they are all just leaning into it as heels. I don’t know, I use to be able to enjoy wrestling, it wasn’t always about complaining, I hate complaining about it, I’d rather it be good. I’m afraid to think that wrestling has sucked for so long that people don’t know how to watch it without critiquing it. It’s been a long time since it was good…I was able to enjoy it once upon a time and I can enjoy AEW, it’s a damn good show. Some people might not have had good wrestling in their lifetimes. |

Jarrett also killed Monty Browns momentum a few times, let’s not forget. He did put over AJ three times and Christian once for the title, helping to legitimize both as top guys. He also gave Jeff Hardy his first sustained main event push. Though the Monty stuff was annoying. Guy had all the tools to be the face of the company. |
