Why is it unreasonable though? Crowdfunding is usually for items that are too big or expensive for retail... and a large figure set or Ultimate Edition 3 or 4 pack would certainly fit. I'd be much more likely to back something like that. Because there a bajillion avenues to release figures. Store exclusives, online exclusives, con exclusives. There is zero need to stick a bunch of figures together in a set for crowd funding when they can just release them at retail. Single figures or the odd Elite 2 or 3 pack, yes. But no store or exclusive is having, say an Ultimate Edition 4-pack or Elite 6-pack. Plus, it may be a chance for Mattel to put out more early or obscure Legends that retail or stores probably wouldn't want.

The ring is awesome, but as a moc collector I have zero use for it. If it reaches 7k and we get Doink then I'm all in. All I really want is the 2 Ultimate Editions. I'd probably just sell or trade the ring and whatever comes with it.

The biggest problem honestly is just the ring. Most people already have rings at this point. The stage is clearly the biggest selling point of this whole package. I'm willing to bet there are a ton of people like me who feel like they would be spending $250 just for a stage set and then Doink if we are lucky. They should have started small with a $100 proof of concept and if it worked out them have the ring alone as the next one and really show it off. The aimed way too high with this

I only want the entrance and the Doink accessories. I don’t collect UE figures and definitely don’t want another ring. I’m also not going to spend $250 with the purpose of pretty much selling everything. Pointless.

In theory, I love the ring. Especially the boarding. It reminds me of the Nexus first debuting. But the Newgen skin is a put off.

I just want the entrance stage and the ultimates. Don’t need the ring.

I still have my Jakks WM2 ring so I have no need for another ring that size. I'd love the entrance stage but it's not worth shelling out $250 USD for. Especially after converting everything to Canadian dollars, it's crazy expensive.

They would be figures that most likely wouldn't get made for a retail/standard release though... I mean, I seriously doubt Doink would ever get an UE figure, outside of crowdfunding. Put Doink in an Ultimate Edition New Generation 4 or 5 pack boxset (with each figure also being individually packaged) - and now we're talking... 😎 You could do the same thing for different eras too.

How about just Doink and Diesel for $90, stretch goal of HBK or bulldog (or both). Seems they over thought this one.

I would have done entrance stage with Doink for around $130-$150 (with Diesel as the stretch goal). I feel like the stage/1 figure should have been an option.
Since that isn't an option, I went with "Entrance Stage Only. $100 with Doink stretch goal"

But again, why would they want to make four or six packs when they can stick them in waves? It doesn't make sense from a business standpoint. There are only so many slots available each year. Mattel is expected to increase sales each year (year to year/quarter to quarter from previous year). So they have to either increase prices, cut the budget, and/or increase output. I don't see them increasing the # of series each yr for basics, elites, 2 packs that they release in the main line so they have to look to other avenues like retailer exclusives. It seems like Walmart, Target and Amazon are content with 1 or 2 exclusive lines and RSC with 3 or 4 releases each yr.
So while I don't think they intend on using crowdfunding for 4/6 packs (I think they would just flat out release it like they are doing with the retros on Mattel Creations), one reason would be to get additional product out as nontraditional retail releases. If they just stick the figures in the main line, then they are still only releasing 8 UE a yr instead of potentially 12/14 (if they did a 4/6 pack).

The ring with modern or attitude era ring skirts is all I’d be interested in.

If they put in a Jeff Jarrett figure, I'd back it. Begrudgingly, but that's a New Gen figure I'd be into.

The only thing that I want to know is the dimensions of the ring; if it's a 18x18 ring that might be better since it is more accurate
personally the choice of using the New Gen era is ok, considering it era itself was mixed bag for every Doink, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, and Razor Ramone you get Leaf Cassidy, Shinobi, etc.
they could have fixed it if base model was Ring (if accurate 18x18 that is), Stage and Shawn Michaels; preferably in WM12 gear; the later add-ons would include Bret Hart; 2 blue steel chairs, world title, WM ringskirt and maybe an announcer table

I just cant stand looking at retro stuff with the block W, I understand it but its still ugly. And I have no need for that ring but as a kid it would have been awesome to have a ring to destroy in a hardcore match with the exposed wood.

Okay, people suggesting the entrance at $100 is hilarious.
Most people wouldn’t buy that light up box for $100
