Itβs all about lineup choices. Itβs smart to just focus on legends. Right now no one on the main roster warrants an Ultimate. They all have bland gear and come out in a T-shirt. You can do AJ eventually so you can do his P1 pose. But all his Elites warmed hard because there was one in every other set. So theyβve been wise to stay away from him for now.
The Rock was the first really desirable one so now everyone wants to be a completist and get them all. Which is good for us that are selective with characters because this line is so great. The new Cena is tempting despite already having the first one. I always dug the black shorts/black sneakers combo he had in 2006. Iβm sure a future Bret/Shawn/Austin will cause me to double dip on someone

This Cena figure is going to be the last time I double dip on the same person with a similar look. They should have done an earlier Cena.

Yeah, the only other current guy that could probably warrant an UE is Roman - but he's had so many Elites, it might be a tough sell... just look at his recent Elite 84/Top Picks '22 figure - add another head and the Universal title and he's pretty much an UE (minus the meh different torso/butterfly joints). |

I caved and bought the $150 HBK, yesterday, when it was up on RSC. That's a lot more than I wanted to spend, but I like this attire far-better than the next one planned for Spring '22, and who knows if I'll even be able to nab that one for any less at this rate.
Hopefully I can trade my extra Slaughter for Rock, and be done with the catch-up on the ones I want.

its the packaging. its pretty much perfect. i hate collecting figures and not opening them i feel thats the whole point. once i had these in hand i couldnt get myself to open em and thats never happened to me. everything is visible symmetrical yet has a slightly different feel with the shape that they chose. also it fits really well in boxes and displays no extra flaps to be damaged. apart from the warrior,hhh,the rock and hogan the figures themselves were okay some even bad(hbk) that torso is weird and only seems to work with warrior and hhh. but when you look at it in the box you cant take ur eyes off it. the color scheme the font everything is just right. thats just my opinion

Canβt wait for pre orders for ultimate Kane and taker to go up. Either Steve or Bill said we'll be able to have them before the holidays if we order on Ringside. That probably means we will see them up for preorder within the next six weeks or so, and they'll begin shipping in early-mid December. I think wave 11 with Hardy and Hogan is supposed to be shipping in the final week of September. All of this would add up because they are quarterly releases. The Undertaker is a bit odd to me because I don't like the heads that don't fit the '98 era and the torso is kind of clunky. I'll still be getting it. But the Kane is a figure that I must get 2 of. I need one MOC and one loose. Off the proto pics alone, it could be the best figure that Mattel has ever put out. |
