So the talk is that NXT will be going back to its early days
Wonder what contests we’ll see this time around 😍

About time, its been too damn long since we've had obstacle courses, karaoke, and dance-offs. Finally someone realizes what wrestling fans want...

They're going to go from their most successful format to its most universally panned format just because dynamite kicked their ass in the ratings.

Cause we are wild & young. And we have just begun. So slow it down you move a little too fast. You take a deep breath, you make this last. Oh & these should be the best days of your life, so right, so right, tonight! I said we are wild & young. Woah oh oh oh. Cause we are Wiiiiiiiild & youuuuung.

I don’t want original NXT, but if we could get 2014-2015 NXT back that would be great. Have a few top Indy talent, but mostly homegrown talent. The show became sign every Indy talent and I got pretty bored of the show/roster by 2017 or so. Bobby Roode and the champs that followed reigns weren’t as good IMO.

"No more midgets" - Vince McMahon
"Well, Adam Cole, how much to stay with the WWE, you 6 foot 8 inch monster you!" - Also Vince McMahon

According to Meltzer it’s more the 2012-2016 Development version and not a full on focused brand.

I know, I didn’t think it would actually be the 2010 show format lol it’s just funny
I figured it would be more like when Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns were there but of course more stylized

I looked it up and, if Vince's new rules about "No over 30" and "super muscle men only" in NXT were the law this whole time, then the list of talent who the WWE never would have seen would also include Finn Balor and the entirety of the Wyatt Family.
That's right.
If this new rule had existed from the start, we never would have gotten The Fiend.
Also, I really don't see Daniel Bryan as being someone who would have been hired under these new guidelines either, so think about that. for a bit.
My biggest takeway is that neither Sami Zayn nor Kevin Owens would have been hired (for both reasons) and that offends me personally. Those two are the entire reason I've gotten into watching indie stuff at all let along continued to care about the WWE. If I hadn't taken a liking to them, I'd have tuned out after the first episode of Smackdown on FOX.

When NXT was some sort of reality show, that concept was really stupid
