Has anyone seen if he is still coming or has he been canceled? With talent getting cut every few months i am sure it has put alot of strain on getting figures out before someone is cut.

Don’t NXT talent have a 30 day no compete instead of 90? If so, then I doubt we see him released.

NXT talents have a 30 day no compete clause, while main roster talents have 90 days. When a talent is released, they either have 30 days(NXT) or 90 days (main roster) to make merch and stuff like that. What he's saying is that Bronson was an NXT guy, so he only has 30 days. E90 is supposed to be out in like December. There's a very good chance that his figure gets cut.

His contract should expire in 30 days instead of the normal 90 days since he is developmental talent. NXT contracts are different than main roster. So since that figure won’t be coming out within that window I doubt they’ll be able to release it.

WWE owns most of the names that wrestlers use, so they can release merch forever. It’s more of if they want to or not.

Plus Mattel has said with guys in masks and costumes where they don’t necessarily use their likeness they still need the talent under contract. That’s why they can’t do Gooker cuz they don’t have Hector under a deal.

It was one of my favorite figures shown with the Bam Bam tribute gear. I doubt well get it though. His release baffles me. He could’ve easily freshed up either Raw or SDs Midcard scene.

Just a reminder that WWE's release announcements are basically just notifications that the talent will be released in X days. Typically 30 for NXT and 90 for main roster. Until then, they're still contracted talent, being paid, etc.
There's almost no chance we see this figure. Maybe there's a very outside chance, but I'd assume it's already been killed. It must be an awesome time to be a WWE licensing partner right now. No doubt Mattel and 2K have sunk money and manpower into design/production costs of things that had to be scrapped due to releases.

If he's already been paid for the merchandise contract he signed, I can see the figure coming out, as it only means money for Mattel and WWE. I doubt these contracts have any sort of royalty verbage going on, where as long as they're employed they get a percentage of figures sold. No, I see them signing a contract, getting paid, and WWE gets to make whatever they want. So if he signed a deal and a figure was in that deal, we will see it. It hurts WWE zero to release a figure of a wrestler in another promotion. In fact, I'm sure it makes them giddy.

The only way I see this getting released is if it's currently in production and is in transport before his contract runs out and is actually recieved and released afterwards.

"WWE maintains the right to sell licensed products in inventory over the next 90 days – and Book Rights, Publishing Rights and Auction Sale Rights. The latter three reflect the many areas that WWE’s business has expanded to in recent years." www.forbes.com/sites/chrissmith/2015/03/28/breaking-down-how-wwe-contracts-work/?sh=48d716236713Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I think the same thing with Zelina will happen where it's to far along to cancel

So why can I go on Amazon and buy an Aleister Black figure right now? Surely if it’s as “straight forward” as you say then those should have pulled down as soon as his no compete clause is out. My point is, WWE has the right to PRODUCE merch until the 90 day no compete clause is up, but there’s a lot of lead time on these toys. It’s not a switch that gets flipped 3 months after a talent is let go. Also, Forbes is a good source, but Forbes blogs are not. Anybody can post on there without any credentials. Would love to know that guy’s sources before I trusted him word for word.

He directly links multiple contracts over 2 decades in his article. Amazon Inventory is not WWE's inventory. That's what they mean when they say inventory. WWE has to sell their inventory before the time is up. Amazon and other retailers don't have those rules.

I can see it coming out due to the fact we’re already on 86. Hopefully but comes out. Surprised he was released.
