STEALING THEM. In my case I purchased three sets of the ringside mayhem set at Toys r Us released about a year before they closed.

Doesn't look that bad. The thing I will never understand is MOC collector's. Buying figures just too tare at them and run out of space sounds boring and stressful.
As a MOC collector...for sure it's an exercise in discipline every time I pick one up. It's difficult to fight the urge to open many of them....BUT: I have a tough time justifying opening figures since playing with them just feels a bit weird for me at age 36. I also have an appreciation for the packaging and uniform look.
However there are some superstars I know I'll never sell and I'll usually take them out just to appreciate the figures closer. I still keep them in box though.

Coming from someone who is currently dealing with this and has had several long convos with psych docs and therapists about said issue... This doesn't look like hoarding at all. It's far too organized and neat. If I had to pick anything to label this, it'd be OCD. Not saying you have that, any medical diagnosis should obviously be left to a doctor but, yeah as someone who deals with compulsive collecting (and is diagnosed OCD), this is much closer to that then true hoarding. I actually do have OCD, but I was mostly making a joke to show off how much stuff I have. Does anybody need 7 or 8 rings and 10 announce tables? Yes! Me! |

How did you get so many announce tables? They’ve only released it a few times the entire Mattel run My first was the first time they released it as a build-a-thing for TRU. I think I may have bought 2 sets of those figures. I bought 3 of those Ringside Battle playsets with Daniel Bryan so I could have enough pieces to make a barricade around the Elite scale ring. So that’s tables total. Then I bought 3 Shane McMahons that came with Wrestlemania tables. And I got 2 Raw and 1 Smackdown Main Event rings which all came with tables. I think I may have a couple other Network logo ones, too. But I can’t remember. Everything’s in storage now. |

I grew up during the Jakks BCA days and always wanted stuff like that, but they either didn’t make it at the time or I could never find it. I remember during 07-09, Jakks didn't make any announce tables, and the only one i could find was with a Deluxe Mr. Kennedy. But it was no longer in stores and i could never find one on Ebay, so i thought i'd never get one. Then 2010-2011, Mattel did one in a spring ring set. I got one by itself on Ebay for around $30 i think, then months later i convinced my Dad to get the full set so i could get another one. The other accessories came in handy, and i just used the ring as part of my entrance set. |

My accessories are comparable... I purchased WCT ring gear all the time, especially when I needed to bring my order just above $50 on Ringside. The announcer table thing kind of just happens: gotta have all the different tops to them. Impressive, almost makes me want to get in my bins to flex too!

I collect many lines and honestly as prices rise and space shortens, i really have to limit and control what i collect going forward. When i see your pic of 7 of the same announce table on top of sets of cage pieces, if it were me id say wellllll i only need 2. Why do i need 7 sitting on a rack on top of other items. I dont think it's hoarding, but ocd for sure and just collector habit/tendencies. Control and limits going forward might need to be considered. All the best of luck for you and decisions going forward

I don’t even have that many accessories and my collection is a scattered mess compared to this.
This is definitely not hoarding, this is just an extensive collection.

As a kid/teen my old wrestling rings, figures, accessories, non wrestling jobbers figures when they’d break or crack, I’d just keep them & add them to my hoard. Back in 2017 when I moved I had 5 broken rings, A medium size plastic bin full of figs/accessories that I kept in my closet since a kid/teen. I tossed most all that out & I kept only a few Jakks accessories. Then when I moved last year I tossed out the accessories that I kept from before.
To this day I still hoard figure boxes & other small things but I try not to. It’s hard.

Jakks Grapple Gear was the GREATEST.
I had kind of stopped playing with figures by then, but the Grapple Gear was so good -- and all the stuff I had wanted for years -- that I started playing again.
