Do you have a specific figure or figures that you have a certain memory of, and said memory brings you happiness? Like, something that you got when you were in a down time in your life, but getting something brightened up your day? Or brings you back to happy times in your life? For example, here are some of my stories:
-In the summer of 2017, I badly scraped up both of my knees and hands, my right knee being the most severe. When I went to urgent care to get cleaned up, I went to my local GameStop afterwards and ended up buying the exclusive Elite Samoa Joe with the black and yellow shorts. I was in a bit of down point in my life at the time, so getting that (at the time) new Joe Elite was pretty cool and lifted up my spirits a little bit.
-My MOC Elite 53 Kevin Owens was a Christmas gift from my girlfriend at the time, who unfortunately had to move out of state a few months into 2018. I still keep in touch with her, and I still have that KO displayed in my room, as it’s not only one of my favorite figures, but it reminds me of the happy times me and her shared together.
-While not a WWE figure, I will always cherish and remember my first plush of Luigi from Super Mario that my mother got me when I was about five years old. I was very sick, and my mother brought home that Luigi plush to cheer me up and make me feel better. To this day, I still have that Luigi. He sits in the corner of my room, and he actually was there for me when I caught COVID earlier this year. Obviously he’s seen better days, but I do my best to make sure he stays clean and in one piece.

-Any figure I bought from Toys R Us. Its just not the same buying it anywhere else and I never really liked buying figures online. I like to have a story as to how I found my figures instead of "I ordered from Ringside/Amazon/Ebay and it came in the mail 7 days later".
-A positive online ordering experience was when I pre-ordered a RSC exclusive Storm Collectibles Hulk Hogan in white and it came in the mail on my birthday.
-Jakks RA1 John Cena. It was the figure that got me hooked on collecting and I had to reseal it in the original packaging so I can get it autographed by John Cena.
-My Ultimate Warrior figures. He is just so toyetic, his Jakks CS1 figure might be one of the most important wrestling figures in history and the man himself understood the value and collectability of these figures long before anyone else did.

Mine isn’t a Mattel figure but I’ll talk about it anyway….it’s the Rulers of the Ring Molly Holly from 2001…..I’ve always been a huge fan of Molly Holly so when that figure was announced I was ecstatic….I remember looking for it everywhere with my first wife & finally finding one at Kay Bee Toys….actually she found it buried on the back of the peg, she was like here it is!!! ….I was like honey don’t be messing with me like that but then she excitedly pulled it out…..to this very day 20 years later I still have that figure Moc in my collection….my first wife passed away from cancer in 2012, it brings back that memory of her & makes me smile every time I see it

Dm Crow Sting. It was the figure I was waiting for since my childhood to be remade. My first ever action figure was a Slam ‘n crunch Crow Sting? that came with a garbage can. My father had bought it for me as a gift for doing well in school, so it held a lot of memories.

Pretty much every CS/Legend/FB in my collection was purchased for the memories. Especially the pre-1990 wrestlers. As I have said many times over the years here I buy figures that remind me of my childhood (Batman/Superheroes) and wrestling figures of watching wrestling with my father until he psssed in ‘90. Example I like to use is the Bushwackers I was never a fan of that gimmick yet the moment I saw them on the pegs at TRU right away I though of how when I was a teenager and my friends would come over he would try to embarrass me by marching around like them and putting me in a headlock while licking my head like they used to do. And the next thing I knew was I had a huge smile on my face in the TRU aisle so I purchased them. And that memory is why the are on my shelves.

Not a comfort figure but one that I'm always happy to see I own is the UK boxed exclusive Regal. I got it off Amazon for 15 bucks and it blew me away in person once I finally got it and then like a month later someone posted about it on Twitter with the Amazon link and they disappeared.

It reminds me of the hasbro I had as a little kid, man I took that figure everywhere with me. Just need to get the purple trunks macho king next. I think about my childhood memories every time I see the Mattel basic on my shelf. Just need to get a million dollar belt to go with him next.

Jakks Titan Tron Live series 1 Mankind. Was the very first wrestling figure I had and it was a birthday gift from a friend. Can't remember if my love for Mick started before or after this figure but it's been going strong ever since. Still have it and bought a MOC one for the memory.

Being such a huge fan of Scott Hall, getting that first Razor was such a good feeling. Finally a badass head scan for Hall! (Jakks did horrible Hall scans)
Plus I never even thought he'd be welcome back to the wwe. That Razor DM figure was a sign we might see a HoF induction and might get some proper Scott Hall figures in nwo attire.

Anything I have memories of owning as a child.
The first figures my little brother and I got were series 1 Hasbro Jake The Snake and Hulk Hogan. Our Mum bought them for us from MacDonalds Toy Shop in our home town. I remember receiving two of the bearhug action Huskster at my 10th birthday party. Doing Royal Rumbles by shaking our ring up and down til only 1 wrestler remained in the ring.
Playing with my original series Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Ninjas were banned in Britain at the time!
My Aunt buying me a Winston Ghostbusters figure when I was in hospital. She bought me loads of toys, really spoiled me. Bravestarr is another I remember.
I remember loving my M.A.S.K toys, Transformers, Thundercats and He-Man. The memories of these bring me great joy and I still get that from collecting Mattel WWE characters from my childhood through to my late teenage years.

E22 Rock. I was addicted to painkillers and decided to quit. Having so much extra money, I needed a new hobby. Saw E22 Rock at Walmart and was just drawn to it.
E57 Tye Dillinger. HUGE Dillinger fan and eagerly awaited that figure. I saw the Basic, but I waited. Its the only figure I have multiples of. 3, to be exact.
SDCC Shockmaster. I don't get to go to SD, but that year I had a friend who did. He was able to snag me one.
SES Punk. Never thought I'd see it, much less hold it in my hands. I didnt put it down.

My Jakks Ruthless aggression from my childhood. I had Batista, Rey, Cena, Edge. I also had the elimination chamber. Pure nostalgia of simpler times. I also kept asking my mom for a Kane figure cuz he was my favorite at the time and one day she showed up with the Elite 4 Kane fresh off the peg. Good times. Still have all of those in mint condition cuz i was always nice to my toys lol.

Jakks BCA S1, the entire set.
They’re all loose now, but they were a Christmas Present as a child.
My parents barely made it from week to week back when I was really little, it was tough times, but they always worked hard and finally caught a break.
Knowing what I know now, it probably took everything they had and more to buy those.
Even though I sold off my collection, those stayed with me. Always a reminder of where I came from and that hard work does indeed pay off.
