Few questions about selling a collection

I think if your primary goal is to maximize profit then you are better off selling belts separately. Figs individually plus belts individually. If you are patient I think you could bring in ~2k before shipping and various selling fees.

Is JBL highly valued? I’ve got two of them and that figure was not hard to come by.

This is a great collection, some good value in those figures. Difficult to put a price for everything but definitely check sold ebay listings to see what items have gone for recently. In terms of selling belts, as a buyer I like to see figures include all their original accessories but likewise sold listings will show you what sells for higher if you want to split it up. DM Flair, Funko Flair I know sell for a nice amount though as does HoF Piper.

Interesting. I’ve got two complete with accessories. One of them I gave the updated JBL head and he looks way better. The original head looks nothing like him.

For a small collection, that is truly magnificent. You've got some winners there.

Naturally, you are going to make more money if you part it out, the question is how much is your time worth. That's the biggest thing I tell people who want to sell things online. How much is your time worth? Because time is money and you need to calculate how little you'd be willing to take for these vs how much time and effort you are going to put into selling it. Remember that more packages mean more trips to the UPS store (or Post Office) and more money spent in packaging materials and such. You can offset this by raising shipping costs but a higher shipping cost can scare away some buyers.

Also, please note that without being an experienced secondary market seller, you likely won't get top price for these. Feedback matters and "Feedback as Seller" really matters. If you don't have a reputation as a good seller on ebay, people won't be as willing to pay you what the figure is worth. Usually. I've seen some people, first time sellers, post their entire collections piece by piece loose and still make a mint. But do know that if you do something like this, you will run into one major possible logistical issue...

Combined shipping.

Because if you do part out the collection at once, and someone buys several figures, they are going to expect a discount in shipping. And how much you discount that can affect feedback ratings as well as your bottom line. It's a fine line between giving someone a discount and eating into your own paycheck and in a case like this, I recommend taking all aspects of the sale into consideration.

Mind you, I'm not a seller. I've sold one item in my life on ebay. However, I have been buying loose figures on ebay for 20 years now, multiple figures, multiple times a week. I stalk that site like a animal stalks its prey and I have seen sellers get burned. I have seen buyers get burned. I myself have gotten burned. It's a rough market, now more than ever, but you stand to make some money with what you have here. Just take everything into careful consideration before you start listing things and plan for every accordance. Plan for a scenario where one person buys the entire set, and plan for a scenario where every piece goes to a different seller. Both are always a possibility.
