Since when is Batista a “legend”? Are they that desperate for talent that they have to include him in this line? Legend = An extremely famous or notorious person very well known in a particular field …..this is Batista |

Can we really say with any sort of certainty that Hulk Hogan is a legend? I mean, where do we draw the line, honestly? Next you'll be asking for the same accolades to be bestowed upon the likes of Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, and, dare I say, even Ric Flair! It's like the words have lost all meaning!

Who do we think will be the second figure in this series? My guess is either a 2004/05 Eddie Guerrero with the Latino heat t shirt and purple tights with the dagger on them.
My second guess is a 1985 Roddy Piper

I don’t even like Batista or Eddie that much, but they’re definitely Legends. Hell I don’t like Greg Valentine, but dudes a legend. John Cena is active and a Legend. Doesn’t really matter our opinions though because we don’t make the product/book the shows…

There are some people, likely mid 30s and older(im38), who wouldn’t consider anyone who didn’t wrestle in the attitude era or earlier a legend. So Batista and Cena aren’t legends, but guys like Tugboat and Crush are. Same people who say James Harden or Kevin Durant couldn’t keep up in the 80s or 90s nba.
*this post is not meant to be a slight against crush or tugboat. I like them both, even though cena and Batista were obviously more over and successful.

I like them both, even though cena and Batista were obviously more over and successful. my qualifications for a "Legend" may be different than everyone else but I think anyone whose stories and accomplishments could be told to children who may have never seen them as tales of greatness from the story teller's era is a legend. I could look at a 10 year old wrestling fan and tell them of The Animal Batista who would Batista bomb giants and win world titles or of the little man that could Eddie Guerrero who would ride to the ring in his low rider and soar through the air beating everyone with a little lying, Cheating and stealing and they'd be enamored. That's a legend. |

What will qualify him as a legend in the future if he’s not already one today? Time. So is Michael Jordan not a legend in basketball? He last played pro ball in 2003. Eddie Guerrero last wrestled in 2005. So is 2 years the difference to you? What about Flair then? He wrestled last in like 2013. Guess he's not a legend. |
