Id say 12 or so years ago when I was working at Sears I had a guy come in to pick up his lawn mower from the repair center. Scanned his tag and looked at the name and saw Jimmy Golden. Asked him kinda dumbly if he was Bunkhouse Buck and then casually talked about his WCW career while we grabbed his mower.
8 or so years later I saw him again at a repair shop. Told the girl working there (that i was seeing) who is also wrestling fan who he was.
Bout a month or so ago I was in a company vehicle and backing in and a guy in a truck almost hit me. As much as I wanted to cuss him I didnt (since I was at work) went in the building and and recognized him. It was Ricky Steamboat. I had met him before at a Con so stopped and introduced myself and talked with him a bit. He came back a few days later and we talked again...Then like a day or so later I saw him at a local restaurant.

I was walking into a Slayer concert and Snitsky was walking in behind me with his buddies. Chatted for a brief moment as we were walking in.

Ricky is one of the few guys from 1980s/1990s WWF/WCW that is still living I haven't met and he's such a nice guy. I would just love to be able to tell him in person I appreciate how great he is. Bunkhouse Buck was always a favorite of mine as a kid. I thought for sure he was in a Fuddruckers restaurant in 1994 but it was just wishful thinking. His theme song was also really awesome. He wasn't the most famous guy but he's someone I really liked and appreciated. I'm sure he is a pretty unassuming guy and a kindly older man type. Lucky you seeing him twice.

My wife and I ran into Chris Jericho at a Sizzler after a WWE house show in Eugene, Oregon back in '12. He was eating, so I didn't want to bother him. He passed by our table as he left and we nodded at each other.

My cousin who lived in Douglasville Georgia at the time was telling me yesterday that she ran into Robert Gibson at a Dollar General store there a few years back …..he was buying a gallon of milk & some batteries, she said he seemed surprised that someone recognized him …..he was very nice (as always) took a couple pics with her then autographed the front of the t shirt she was wearing under the collar & talked with her for 15 minutes or so

I saw Billy Jack Haynes at a grocery store in Portland a few years ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly. Milky Way's are a very underrated candy bar
