I recently watched the WCW 1992 Saturday Night shows on the WWE Network, and I never had TBS as a kid cause I never had cable where I lived, so I missed out on all that great Saturday Night era of WCW. But they started showing April 1992 on the WWE Network up until Dec. 1993 so I got to see bits and pieces of the half way till the end of the Dangerous Alliance run, and what a crappy way it ended.
For one... it really never ended. Once Larry Zbyszko got kicked out of the group, we seen Austin, Eaton and Anderson feud with Larry and partners and then in September of 1992 we have... Michael Hayes managing Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton.
For Paul E. Dangerously is still there managing Steve Austin, and then Madusa is off managing Rick Rude on her own.
They kind of tie in come Halloween Havoc that Paul E. Dangerously was still the man that had Rude's contract, but it just made for a match at Nov. Clash of the Champions between Paul E. and Madusa.
During that lead up, Paul E. was with Anderson, Eaton, Hayes and Austin in training methods for the match, but.... then boom, Paul E. Dangerously was gone from WCW.
How is it that a group that started out so hot and heavy, with Rick Rude debuting, to Rick Rude winning the US Title off Sting, to Anderson, Zbyszko, Austin and then the surprise Bobby Eaton who turned on the fans come out to make the Dangerous Alliance, to holding all the belts except the WCW World Title, end so badly??
Did "Cowboy" Bill Watts hate Paul E. Dangerously that much that he just scrapped the entire group because??

Yeah I'm willing to bet Watts was a big component in their downfall
Such an awesome array of talent. One of the main reasons why I loved WCW during this era. That War Games match at WrestleWar will forever be my fav

One of the many great things about early 90s WCW. They couldve been one of the greatest factions of all time, but they just didnt have the longevity.

Being a huge Rick Rude fan, I loved the group. I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s any truth to the rumors that the powers that be (aka Watts) killed the angle, which would explain why the group just seemed to disappear out of no where. Though in hindsight it worked for Rude as I feel his world title win a year later was better that he did it on his own and not with a faction.
