Putting this here as it entirely pertains to TNA Figures
As many of you know, the TNA Knockouts figures are damn near impossible to come by. Loose, MOC, or even in pieces, they're next to impossible to get ahold of.
And, as many of you might know, I'm on a quest to get one of every women's wrestler they've made figures of.
So this poses me a problem.
Because, right now, there are two TNA women's figures I've found that I could reasonably afford. One is Dixie Carter, one is Angelina Love However, I know for a fact that I would want to display both of them on my shelf, out of package.
The issue is, both figures are signed.
So, how much of a d*ck move is it to buy these autographed figures to rip out of package? It should be noted in both cases that there are other listings for those women who cost more, but the only affordable figures are in package and signed. It might help to mention that, while both are signed, they both have noticeable flaws to the card. The signatures are intact but the cards/bubbles have issues.
I'd love to pick either one up but, yeah. I feel like I'd be a huge heel to trash a card with a signature on it.
So what do you guys think? AITA here?

I think it’s fine to open them if you prefer to display them versus keeping them MOC especially if the signatures don’t hold any value for you. They could be fake anyways unless it comes with a COA.

If the figures are cheap enough, that the signature doesn’t matter, and it’s the best price you’ve seen for them then I think it’s absolutely fine. No ones gonna judge you for opening a signed figure where the signature means absolutely nothing to you. It honestly doesn’t matter, I’d say go for it!

What? No. Who cares? Once you've paid and received the goods, it's property you own to do whatever you feel with. You'd better believe if I ever find the one AEW chase I'm after, I'm ripping that SOB right out of the package.

I mean, if the person has passed it might be different in a weird way? Since they are alive, it’s just their name on the package. I see no personal value in someone’s signature that I haven’t gotten on my own, so I’d open it right up.

I bought an autographed Legends AJ Styles a year or so back because it was the cheapest version of it MOC. I display loose. AJ didn't personally sign it for me, so I wasn't as worried about it, honestly. I opened it and display it proudly.
I say if you can get a good price for the auto'd ones, do with them as you please. Literally hurts no one to do so.

If you buy a figure on eBay cheap with the intention of opening it, whether it's autographed or not, I don't see why you should feel guilty about opening it. If you got it in person then it has that emotional connection to it, maybe it's harder then. But if you don't care about the autograph then who the hell cares.

most of the Dixie's come signed. They were a ShopTNA exclusive and part of the gimmick was that they were signed too. you're going to have a harder time finding an unsigned one than a signed one
