I can cut your budget by a third by directing you towards the King Harley Race figure.

You definetly want RSC SES Punk. And no collection is complete without E57 Tye Dillinger. Why is that tye dillinger figure so sought after? It's expensive on eBay but everyone seems to hate Shawn spears.

If I had $1000 to spend on Elites......wow exciting proposition, and a good idea.
• Mr T - SDCC Elite exclusive • Shawn Michaels Ultimate Edition • Brock Lesnar Ultimate Edition • The Fiend Ultimate Edition • Kane Ultimate Edition

You can snag three Ultimate Edition wrestlemania 9 Hogans at MyBuddys Toy Shop right in time for Christmas with that money.

But in all honesty, in the era before True FX, its a good-looking figure. Attire choice was good. Headscan was pretty spot on, I felt. Only thing that held it back was no "10" hands.

I know this is going to be a douchebag answer, but honestly use that money on a vacation or to go somewhere you'll never forget. This isn’t a douchebag answer. You give someone ‘X’ amount of money & each person will spend it differently.

Hate to break it to you but if you're looking at the truly HTF early elites, that grand won't go far.
SES Punk you'll be lucky if you can even find it MOC and, if you do, it will likely cost you over half of your money.
Add on two more HTF Elites and you're out of money with three figures to show for it.

If I had $1,000 to spend on Elites and wanted something that both looked great MOC and would hold their value, I would go for a handful of the early Legends.
Rick Martel, the Rockers, and Texas Tornado would be at the top of my list. I've got those, and they're great figures. If you ever open them, the only real problem is that Martel's jacket stains terribly and the handle from his Arrogance cologne sprayer is incredibly easy to lose.

Man...I can't even imagine getting into a line this late. I wanted to get into Marvel Legends at one point but realized how expensive a lot of the earlier wave figures were and decided against it.
Good luck OP, whatever you choose to spend your money on.
Personally, if I had the money to spare I'd hunt down Legends Rick Martel, Akeem and King Kong Bundy.

I know this is going to be a douchebag answer, but honestly use that money on a vacation or to go somewhere you'll never forget. Some people don’t like traveling. I rather buy things I’ll enjoy everyday (with the ability to always sell down the road) than go to some resort in Hawaii just to say “yeah I’ve been to Hawaii.” I often find that people who travel don’t necessarily care about their “experience” but just brag about where they went and went just to say they went.

I appreciate that, and it was more of a blanket idea. Going off of OP's post, get the impression having $1000 isn't a common thing. So instead of blowing it on something that might make you happy in the short term, but won't bring much return (Getting a few rare figures isn't a lot to show for the money) put it towards something long term. It doesn't have to be a vaction. Just something worthwhile in the long run.

LOL, I didn't really start getting into the WWE Mattel line until about 2019. I bought sporadic figures from 2017 until then and nothing before 2017
I believe my first ever RSC order had a just-released E53 Alexa Bliss in it. And then I didn't make another order for about 2 years.
I will never be done playing catch-up.
And that's not even getting into my attempts to build a full MCU ML set. That one I've all but given up on. I just grab the odd figure here and there from ML. I'll never complete that set.

I try not to think about stuff like that. It usually goes towards birthday presents for people that deep down I don't want to spend it on. Case and point, when I usually have a bit of spare money it always seems to be when it is coming up to one of my nephew's birthday. For a month, my nephew kept going on about how he wanted this star wars stormtrooper outfit and mask. So I got him the exact costume he asked for on his birthday. Keep in mind it wasn't easy to get and I had to pay for international shipping prices. He wore it for about five minutes, took a look at it in the mirror, gave some unsatisfied look, then he took it off and left it on the floor.
Then a few weeks later, to top it off he was watching some star wars convention video. And the little brat said in front of me "ahhh this Stormtrooper outfit is much better than the one I have." I felt so dissapointed and regretful. Dissapointed also, that at his age he should have been taught better manners. I could have got five elites at retail for the price of that.
Money isn't everything, but it can make you feel unfulfilled, regretful and empty if you spend it on the wrong thing or the wrong person.
