Regardless of your opinions, this has very real potential to shake things up for WWE’s business practices. This is definitely something to keep an eye on.

Start buying all the figures of any wrestler contacting that guy.

This is wild. And the thing is, hundreds and hundreds of talents fall under this category. I’m excited to hear Jesse Ventura’s opinion. He was way ahead of his time on things of this nature.

Well, former employees may definitely take him up on that. As will any current employees that want to ask for their release without actually asking for their release.

This will be another lawsuit that ties things up where former wrestlers won't be able to make any money from legends deals/mania appearances etc etc with the broken promises of "we're gonna take down the E".
Andrew Wang Yang just needs to focus on his "new" political party and stop worrying about pro wrestling.

Speaking as someone who leans more liberal, Andrew Yang is a total ing clownshow. I don't see this getting off the ground any time soon.

Aren't most wrestlers, including AEW wrestlers (with the exception of the top few), independent contract wrestlers?

But those pushes to unionize need to be led by the right people who actually have a voice in the landscape of wrestling.

Yang is absolutely the wrong guy to get this even off the ground.

So why is he (Andrew Yang) just calling out WWE? most likely because of wwe’s abuse of that position. it isn’t unlawful to have independent contractors, but it is to then have conditions in their contracts that don’t befall an independent contractor.

I don’t understand how wrestlers don’t fall under SAG, the actor’s union. They’re on TV, reciting written lines and acting like they’re fighting. How does that not qualify them?
