Although I am super hyped for Owen Hart merchandise, I really refuse to buy an Owen shirt with an AEW logo. Get some stuff out and let the profit go to the Foundation and I‘ll be fine. Hopefully the quality of the figures will be good. Please no ZST Retro. I really don’t want to see Owen merch with any profit related companies. I was always daccord with Martha to not give WWE the opportunity to make money with Owens name and no one else than Martha should do either. Yes, Owen belongs in the WWE HOF but not as it is today. If it was a true HOF he would be a missing part. Looking forward to the tournament, which should be based on a KOTR tournament starting with qualifying matches as it was back than and have the last 8 do a one night tournament. I don't see nothing wrong with the AEW logo being on the shirt. Would you buy an Owen Hart shirt with the WWE logo since he nevered wrestled under that company logo?

Not going to happen, so the question is not really to answer. What people want to wear however is totally up to them. For example as a father I don’t feel comfortable to wear a shirt of a guy who killed his wife and son, despite I still enjoy watching his matches and am able to focus on the wrestler instead of the private drama. Owen is the total opposite. He apparently has been a fantastic father and a role model of a husband in the world of wrestling. Again totally personal taste, I would wear a shirt but wouldn’t feel comfortable with any kind of branding. The only exception would be a rerelease of a vintage shirt. Totally different topic: I wouldn’t mind if merchandise would be a little more expensive as long as the profit goes to the Foundation. They do good stuff that should be supported.

AEW is literally ushering in a Renaissance period where wrestling is cool again and it’s thanks in huge part to the kind of leader Tony Khan is. CM Punk returns because of the Brodie tribute, now this…..wow While I agree with that, it's still not mainstream cool. But then I don't think wrestling ever will be again.

But I am really wondering how this project will evolve from here. Being on a high is one thing, but keeping this level is totally different. Guys line Sting, Christian, CM Punk and Danielson are not the future. The excitement will not last forever. The biggest signing in my eyes is Adam Cole who could have easily headlined a WM main event in the next years. The momentum at the moment is great, but they need to keep pushing guys like Cole, MJF, Black, Allin etc. because this is what AEWs future is and this is also their big value. They have a hell of a talented roster. Looking at the was Brian Cage is currently used, I am a little concerned that they will lose focus with all these newer signings. This is also why I wouldn’t want to see Strowman or Rotunda in AEW. Despite I always enjoyed Wyatt and he would be a no brainer as Dsrk orders new leader, I wouldn’t want to see existing talent lose TV time because of too many new signings. This was also a problem for WCW (and even TNA).

I mean, at this point I chuckle at people who doubt aew. go check out the first 5-10 pages of the aew thread and you’ll see all kinds of doubts and negative speculation. and I agree, keep Braun and Rotunda far away, but not for the reasons you listed. rather because they suck.

That’s a matter of taste Id say. Strowman didnt play the Monster thst bad to be honest and Rotunda is one of the most creative minds in wrestling today. Anyway... time will tell how they evolve.

Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Rowan are better suited for Impact Wrestling than AEW.

Just read that it appears to be Jericho who worked with Martha Hart and Tony Kahn for about 1 1/2 years to get this deal. Sounds like a heart project for him, which is great.

The Dark Side of the Ring episode mustve been the catalyst.
