What would have happened next?? Would the Rockers vs. Power & Glory happen for the Tag Titles and then the Rockers drop the Tag Titles to the Nasty Boys at Wrestlemania VII??
Would the Hart Foundation break up and Bret go after Mr. Perfect earlier than SummerSlam 91??
Any idea or theories?? Or has anyone heard any rumors or facts as to what was gonna happen if the Rockers stayed WWF Tag Champions??

I think they'd still be transitional champions. For who I'm not sure. I don't think the Nastys made it to WWF until December.

I thought I remember hearing that the Rockers would eventually drop the belts to Power & Glory who would then drop the titles to LOD. I also heard that the reason that the WWF wanted the Harts to drop the belts to the Rockers was because Anvil's contract was ending and it didn't look like he was going to resign. Then the match happened, the rope broke, Vince didn't want to air the match so they never acknowledged the title change. Anvil then resigned and they decided to keep the belts on the Harts. The Harts were going to drop the belts to P&G but, apparently, Vince soured on P&G and went with the Nasty Boys instead.
Sadly, for the Rockers, had they stayed together through 1992, they may have gotten a run with the belts. The WWF didn't have any real top baby face teams (after LOD was sidelined in early 92). They had to turn two heel teams that year (Natural Disasters and Nasty Boys). I think the Rockers and Money Inc. could have had a great feud with great matches, and I can see the Rockers holding the title belts at some point during that feud.
As for the what ifs, I'd imagine the Rockers would have eventually dropped the belts to P&G or the Nasty Boys around WM7 who would then drop the belts to LOD. Once Vince got LOD, the goal was to get the titles on them. For Bret, not sure if he would have been put with Mr. Perfect right away, at the time, Mr. Perfect and the Texas Tornado were in a top-tier feud. However, I could see Bret being moved into the feud when Mr. Perfect won the title back in December, after WWF soured on Kerry, they possibly could have faced off at WM7 for the title. Not sure if the WWF would have done that, or waited until the Bossman/Perfect feud ended to have the Perfect/Bret feud. I believe Boss Man took Kerry's place because Boss Man was starting a feud/program with Rick Rude who abruptly left the company at the time. I think they should have waited, build Bret up as this master technician, have Perfect hold onto the title for a long time making him appear unbeatable. Then have the match like they did at Summer Slam 1991, this way when Bret beats Perfect, he was beating a top-notch champion.

It still boggles my mind that the Rockers have never won a championship, never been in a video game…they don’t have nearly as many figures as teams and wrestlers of similar popularity. It’s understated just how popular they were and history kinda remembers them as Shawn Michaels pre HBK. The Rockers were VERY over, its sad that they didn’t have a title run.
People always talk about the Barber shop like it’s some jab at Jannetty that Michaels threw him through a window and had success, but that angle isn’t memorable to this day if people didn’t care about the team as a whole. Both guys were over as a team and that’s why it was so devastating when Michaels betrayed Jannetty
