Just wondering who's the best option to face Roman Reigns at Mania for the Universal Title ? I know most where banking on Reigns/Rock but from all reports Rock isn't wrestling and won't be until Wrestlemania is in LA.
So with Rock off the table who gets the nod.Presonally I like Big E or Jeff Hardy.Big E just became WWE Champion and is one of the few stars and babyfaces left in the company.Could build it up as "Title Vs Title" to give it and even bigger feel.
While a redemption angle for Jeff Hardy and rebuilding him in the build up over the coming months could help to turn him back into a star and draw he once was.Even with his stop start pushes and shitty booking the last 4 years or so Jeff still has a connection with the fans and still gets one of the biggest pops of the night.

If they’re having Mania in a 100,000+ seating area in Dallas and can’t make Rock/Reigns happen then it wont matter who Reigns faces.

Why is The Rock off the table?

The WWE Universal Champion should face the WWE World Champion ... whoever that may be by WrestleMania.

Don’t think Rock will happen so I’m going with Drew. Time to cement Drew as a top guy in front of fans.

I’ll be honest, I’m so out of touch with wrestling that none of those options sound exciting. I would like to see Goldberg as a one off, just to see spear vs spear. My choice would be Jeff. He’s been misused in his run and at this point a glorified jobber. Crazy to think he was one of WWE’s best selling merchandise movers too and they treat him like crap. I’m not sure how they could even build him to be a credible threat at this point. I’m all up for Jeff having a WWE title run. One thing that does make me wonder is what a program between Bray Wyatt and a Jeff Hardy would of been like.

If it's not The Rock, you might as well not book Reigns at all.

A time travelling Xavier Woods from five years from now. It presents a surreal element to the storytelling and it ensures Woods doesn't get fired for atleast five years.

As long as he meets the following criteria then I’m cool with it. 1st — All gray hair and beard hair 2nd — Send him to the buffet a week before Mania to add to the realistic aging process in the mid section. Method acting at its finest. 3rd — Part of his entrance must be a giant PlayStation 6 or an Xbox Ω (which is added as the 27th letter of the alphabet in the year 2024) Don’t think Rock will happen so I’m going with Drew. Time to cement Drew as a top guy in front of fans. If Roman isn’t being built up for Drew or Seth, I dont know what his endgame as champion could be.

Texas doesn't deserve the privilege of having The Tribal Chief perform for them.
Save him for Dwayne in Hollywood.

It might be The Rock. But they should have babyface a ready to go in case that doesn’t pan out. This company needs to stop putting all their eggs into past baskets.
Say if for some reason Rock can’t make it. What babyfaces do you have that can look believable against Roman? I can’t think of any. Drew would have been a good option but they totally cooled off on him. The only other guy that they’ve actually booked half decent is Damian Priest but who know where he’ll be by then.

I'd love to see Damian Priest get the spot.
Draft Him & Nakamura to the opposite brands, then start to build him up to that Main Event status. Keep his strong push going, then he'll eventually lose the US Title, and move on to Roman. The fans have really warmed up to him, and if he's built more & more, no doubt he'll be a huge, believable opponent for Roman by WrestleMania.
The story could work with his catchphrase too... If he's the one to finally beat Roman & take the title, he'll cement his name in history and "Live Forever".

The Rock. It would be one of the biggest Mania matches in recent memory and there is a perfect story behind it with the Tribal Chief gimmick.
