Ok what do you think will be next in line to be in Elite 92? I think Burnt Fiend and Adam Cole will still be released. My predictions: Xia Li Dolph Ziggler Bobby Roode Oh man, Xia's a major want of mine, I would be thrilled if she hits there. I think Shotzi's likelier for the women's roster spot, though. Alexa might be the likeliest there, but I don't know if the upcoming Ultimate affects that. After her, there's not a lot of obvious main roster refreshes from ~1 year ago. Eva, Doudrop, and Nikki's ASH look are too recent. Most of the other women who were on the main roster at the time have gotten recent releases (although Carmella's recent is already way out of date), and this seems too early for the Mania looks like Sasha's to start showing up. Tamina's the other one who stands out as the right combination of timing and necessity. After her it's women who were on NXT around WarGames-ish, which makes Shotzi the likeliest to me.
I don't think Cole or Fiend will be able to be released. So I'm guessing they'll move up some other NXT guy to replace Cole, maybe Grimes or a Way-era Gargano, and any random main eventer getting moved up in Fiend's spot.
Cesaro seems ready for a refresh.

I think it’s safe to assume Cole figs aren’t coming. Fiend however, is technically a WWE “creation” right? Also he is masked. So I’m not sure if they’d be allowed to still sell merch or not. Yeah, I thought something like that... Adam Cole is still Adam Cole in AEW, so WWE might not want (or be allowed) to release him. Whereas Bray/The Fiend is a WWE creation (and Rotunda won't be allowed to use that name/gimmick) - so maybe they can still release the figure. He’s still Adam Cole currently but he is changing his name to Adam. You heard it here first. |

If these figs do get cut and replaced then it’s gonna be something that they can quickly get into a lineup. Basically a re-release of a previous fig. Fiend will likely get replaced with someone like Roman, Cena, McIntyre, etc. Cole probably Orton, Otis, Riddle, etc.

Fiend will likely get replaced with someone like Roman, Cena, McIntyre, etc. Cole probably Orton, Otis, Riddle, etc. Updated Orton and Cena wouldn’t be bad considering E90 Orton is the one off white WM attire and they have enough time to make Cena’s Summerslam gear |

Super curious as to what’s going to happen with Cole and Bray, and what the business side of things looks like. Like I imagine from a legal standpoint it’s going to be a lot different from releasing a figure of a guy who has just gone to the indies or TNA I’m also curious as to if the last 2 years of releases has done damage to Mattel’s relationship with WWE. I know I’d be pissed off if I spent time, effort, money and resources on a fringe player like a Jake Atlas, only for him to be released before it even comes out. Same goes for heavy hitters like Bray and Strowman Considering there are reports 2K has been pretty upset with WWE as well over similar issues I can't imagine Mattel having a much better reaction. |

I really hope Cole still releases, I have a bit of hope, but if he is replaced I'd like to see a new AJ Styles. His last elite was from Summerslam 2019, so he's a bit outdated

I'm going to guess that we get one woman. I'd love to see a Xia but I feel that Shotzi is more likely. Or, even more likely, a new Elite Charlotte.
I have a hunch it will be an Elite of someone we already have an Elite of simply because I feel like if they were going to make a FTIL figure in E92, we would have heard about it by now.
Of course, we were rumored to be getting a Molly ages ago, soooo...
As for the rest of the set, I really don't see Cole or Fiend happening, which means the set will either have four (five w/CE) figures or they will have to shove something quick into the gaps. I can see them throwing a Roman Reigns elite at us that is the same exact figure we've gotten, except with the gauntlet painted red. That would be a quick update figure that I don't think would take much effort on their part, plus would set a record for "quickest updated look" ever.
Also, I wouldn't be shocked if they threw in a cobbled together MNM Seth Rollins figure that was just a retooling of the Battle Pack Basic. If they wanted it to feel special, they could mold the jacket and pants in red. Another quickie figure they could rush out to fill the gap. That would be a figure I'd love to see and would gladly buy!
I think a really good call some people have made for this set is Dolph Ziggler. He hasn't had an update in ages and with his return to relevancy, I can see him having earned a new Elite. As mentioned, Bobby Roode could be in there but I have no need for a Roode figure that isn't his Entrance Greats one.
Fill-Ins aside, there's bound to be at least one pegwarmer figure. They always throw one in there to offset the cost of the other figures and having the Fiend figure canned I don't believe will change this fact. So I suspect that there will either be a John Cena, an AJ Styles, or some other one of their frequently retooled efforts. It's bound to happen and let's just hope that they don't leave the set short-packed and fill in the gaps with extras of a figure that's already bound to warm.

You could write volumes on this topic, and I'm sure people have, but it speaks a ton to the complete lack of long-term planning for the company to see the multitudes of figures just in the last 2 years that were either canceled or put out after the person left the company.
I mean, yeah, there's bound to be turn around time from TV to Shelf for figures. But, like, I'd never even heard of Chelsea Green prior to getting her figure, and then when I get it I find out she's been gone for months? How do you muk up this badly this often???

I think a new AJ is coming at some point, and will show up with Omos in the same set. I don't think it'll be this wave, because that Fiend probably took a lot of the tooling budget (even if he doesn't get released, the molds probably would have been made by now) and I assume Omos is going to have to use a lot of new stuff.
