It seems that Jazwares is putting out several bloody AEW wrestling figures out lately. Mattel has yet to attempt any blood that I recall yet. I usually collect one of each wrestler, and am not really interested in any of the bloody versions. I wanted to see if anyone else is interested in buying any bloody wrestling figures?

I don’t see WWE allowing Mattel to do this, but even if they did, it would be rare I would buy a bloody one. I think if it was done in certain circumstances, like a Bret vs Stone Cold at WM 13 2 pack where it was one regular Austin head and then a second bloody one to go with the conclusion of the match, sure. But with the lack of blading now it wouldn’t make sense with the current product

But perhaps this is something that Mattel Creations could explore if allowed, this way they could keep their PG status for mass retail abs open at his house for collectors

The way the blood looks on those figures… no thanks.

For me personally, no. I feel like it’s unnecessary especially when you could paint blood on your figure yourself. For moc purposes, I would understand.

If it fits for an iconic match/event then sure. Bakers was pretty iconic for the company. Rhodes vs Rhodes I guess was too but I wasnt a fan of the match. I wouldnt just make a random bloody Joey Mercury or LA Knight figure but something like Austin from Mania 13 would be cool
That being said, we'll never see it. WWE and Mattel are WAYYYY too PG to do it. Mattel wont even use the Soviet flag or the Dudley/Cena hands because they could be deemed as "offensive" to the simple minded.

Don't really see the point in them. I remember demanding the bloody Movie Maniacs over the bloodless ones, but I was like 11 at the time.
I mean, let's be real, the bloody AEW figures are just cheap variants to help the first year of a new toyline balance out the tooling costs.

Although honestly some of the Fiend stuff has been way more grotesque than a figure with red paint. Those masks are professionally designed by actual makeup artists. Burnt Fiend, if it comes out, is pretty edgy for this line.

Would be cool to see someone like Flair or Dusty with the blond hair bloody, especially with the swappable heads now but I don’t see it happening

I don’t think they’re ever executed well. No one has been able to recreate an accurate bloody look. They always look like a bad custom. Maybe with the True FX tech and minimal amounts of blood it could possibly be pulled off but I really don’t have faith or any real desire.

I dont think I'd be interested in a bloody variant of a random figure but a bloody figure 2-pack tied to an iconic match might be kinda fun...Slaughter/Sheik boot camp match, Piper/Valentine dog collar match, etc..

Not going to happen so I don't have to think about it. Back to every grunt from Home Improvement.

I’d get a bloody Austin or flair perhaps.

I have the Blood Brothers set, because my photo is on the back of the box. Had it not been, I still would have considered it, because of how unique it is. I am interested in the Britt figure, but haven’t made up my mind on it yet.

For me, the blood makes the figure too specific to a single moment. I like to get an attire that represents an era of a superstar's career, not just one match (although there are exceptions...DM Macho and Warrior, SVS Bret).

Depends on the wrestler but its not something that makes me want the figure more.
