I’ve watched Danielson/Omega twice in total. I’m a huge Jim Ross mark, hero of mine, and voice of my childhood. Love his podcast too. I noticed that during the match, during most neck-based moves done to Danielson, Excalibur and/or Ross and/or Schiavone mentioned Omega’s strategy, but I believe a couple of times they didn’t. Maybe the running start knee from the ramp and the dragon suplexes on the ramp? I need to go back and watch, and I could be wrong, but I believe those times they didn’t. Now obviously anyone following the match knows that those moves still contributed toward Omega’s gameplan. This did make me wonder, just generally…should announcers mention that certain body part-based moves are intertwined with a participant’s strategy every time this type of move is done? Or does it get repetitive and/or obvious? I have mixed feelings. On one hand it seems like you might want to go ahead and mention it every time, but in other ways the Internet might crucify you IF you mention it every time, as if you are assuming the viewer can’t tell. What’s your take on the issue of making note that body-part based moves are part of strategy every single time vs. some of the time?

I would say not everytime, but at least a few times during the match (subtly) to make the strategy known, especially if the finisher has that body part in a submission. If no sub finisher is had by either participant, wait until a few times the same part is targeted to subtly question (he really is repeatedly going at that arm....example) if that is the angle there.
killer question sir.

I don't think it should be called everytime, just enough to remind fans of past injuries or wrestlers strategy, we don't need it recapped every other minute.
