Also I’m really debating on attending the Halloween 45 con over going to AEW All In. Go to the con. You can always watch All In on YouTube later. It’s mostly to be part of the atmosphere in Wembley for the event that draws me to it. Plus I haven’t been to London before., That said, this may be my only shot to meet some of these actors. Having all their different masks signed and displayed does sound pretty rad. I just hope they get Tom Atkins. Tom Atkins s.

Michael Myers is by far the best horror villain imo I’m inclined to agree though at times I enjoy Jason just as much.

Not even close for me,its Michael all day. Never was a big Freddy guy personally and Jason was good but still not on Mike's level. Love me some Ghost Face, the Chuckster,Pennywise and Jigsaw also. Art deserves some respect too.

Art deserves some respect too. Personally Art bored the hell out of me with his first movie. Yeah the hacksaw death was original and wild but the rest of the film was meh. I haven’t watched the second because of this, but I did read the plot summary on wiki. Doesn’t sound like it’s for me. I will give Chucky all the respect though. For the entire film franchise, to the tv series, it’s all been one cohesive story. Not always the best at times, but if you want it all back to back it works very well. Pennywise is fine. I like the original mini series, mainly due to nostalgia and love of Tim Curry. The newer films were fun but also one watch is good enough for me. Love the Scream films outside part 5 and mentioned many times here. That said, I don’t count “Ghostface.” It’s multiple people in a costume. Yes Michael (Corey) and Jason (Roy) had imposters but they are singular individuals. Jigsaw, the first two films are art. Everything after that is just torture porn with bad twists. All my opinion.

If you didn't care for the first Terrifier, the second probably not gonna change your mind lol. I liked both myself but I can see why some doesnt. I don't mind to have a laugh or two in my horror movies and Chucky definitely gives me that Og Pennywise is definitely the better of the two but I really enjoyed the first new movie, chapter two not so much. Yeah,I would agree about Ghost Face not being your typical horror villian being just one guy/girl/whatever it is and you're completely right about it but besides the first guys(I'm thinking anybody on here has watched already but just in case don't want to spoil),the mask/costume still feels like the main draw. I dont really know what im trying to say here but it made sense in my head lol. Yeah, the Saw movies has went off the rails but I can still watch those first couple and still love them just as much as I did first seeing them all those many years ago.

My only real issue with the new IT films is the actor they got to play adult Ben. All the adult actor choices were perfect, outside him. The guy had no charisma and felt very bland. Kind of felt like they used up all their budget before casting him and just picked a random unknown.

In terms of slasher flicks, I’ll agree that Michael Myers is the best.
There’ll always be the comparison between him and Jason. The Friday The 13th movies always felt pointless aside from the first. There’s no reason for them. Its just Jason hacking up some randoms. I can’t get invested if there’s no overall reason for doing so. There were some average entries in the Halloween series but Michael was always on a mission, and that was to find and kill Jamie and Laurie. There just happened to be a lot of collateral damage along the way.

There just happened to be a lot of collateral damage along the way. At least with 2-4, I’d say there is sort of a point. Jason, having not actually drowned but has grown up in the woods alone, sees his mother get her head cut off. So naturally he starts killing everyone that comes to Crystal Lake. And I guess if you want to get technical, Roy definitely had a reason to snap and kill after his kid got killed. After that though, yeah it’s just zombie Jason killing everyone just to kill. With Michael, it depends on the timeline. If you go with the latest, it basically says he doesn’t give a damn about Laurie. He’s just killing to kill.

Michael Myers is by far the best horror villain imo The thing I liked about the original is that there was very little blood. It was the suspense that made it scary.

That combined with not really getting a good look at him, the way they used lighting to have him just come out of darkness, and the fact that you have no idea why he is doing what he’s doing. I watched the second film a ton as a kid so when I first watched the original I knew Laurie was his sister. I knew that’s why he was trying to kill her. I’m envious of those who saw the original in theaters. Had to have been terrifying for the time. Speaking of which, added the 78 mask to the collection today. Pics really don’t do it justice:

And just like that, due to having to find a new place to live, the Halloween 45 Convention is a bust. That a bummer.
I did however buy the Friday The 13th part 7 mask and a bloody tear Myers mask off Etsy. Looking forward to getting those.

I have been eyeing upcoming cons and I’ll at least get to meet Warlock, Castle, and Courtney if things go right the next couple months. So not a complete loss.

Added the part 5 mask today. It’s ugly as all hell. Going to to fill it with some paper for shape and fix the hair up.

For me in the Michael Vs Jason, I go Jason because I like more of those movies. I usually dislike children in horror movies because you know nothing will happen to them 8 out of 10 times. So part 4 and 5 of Halloween take a hit for that for me. I don't even want to talk about Halloween 6. The only Friday film I don't watch a lot is Part 7 and the New Line era.
I'm going to be watching the Phantasm series over the weekend. I've never seen part 4 or 5. I barely remember 1-3. I remember 1 was so confusing the first time I saw it a long long time ago, but I think I got it the third time. Should be interesting as it's been a long time since I've seen any of them.
