Seeing actual pictures of Taker looks a LOT better than the protos. Torso still looks a little off but I can live with it.
Kane is a God blessed masterpiece

I still prefer Kane. I think the paint job looks pretty bad and it’s a shame that he didn’t come with glossed boots. I’ll try and fix mine if I’m able to get one on Amazon. I still think the Undertaker looks terrible. He looks too old imo and the proportions are still off. The jacket looks nice though. Ugh, I hate that Mattel Jakks Pacific'd the damn glossy boots. Oddly, they gave some of the flashback Kanes glossy boots. I hope the paint job looks better in person. I’m assuming we’re getting a 2001 UE Kane at some point too. I’m looking forward to one. |

That entrance head on the NS ministry body is perfection. The UE body is still hideous. It reminds me of Jakks Deluxe Aggression/Build and Brawl bodies, for some reason. The proportions, maybe? |

For what it’s worth, those hands aren’t meant for that Undertaker pose. They should be used for his throat slash. Now I know that isn’t accurate for the time period of this figure but neither are MMA gloves. I think it’s a great add on that I’ll use on other Takers.

I would say the Taker got much better in the final product, scans look a lot better, though the tongue out one still has no business being there. I didn’t hate the original as much as most and liked the drooping hair scan, so glad to see it was executed well.
Kane looks excellent and I’ve been looking forward to it since I first saw it. Disappointing the gloss is gone from the boots and the mask stripes are a bit questionable, but great to see arm raising hands and the belt all finished off. These are the first UEs I will own and you know these will be hard to come by throughout its entire release and beyond. Can’t wait to add them to my collection.
I really really hope we are now a step closer to a UE 2001 BOD Kane, it’s my absolute favourite, would also be great paired with an ABA Taker, but let’s see what happens.

The two blacks I use are Abaddon Black from Citadel and the GAME Color black from Vallejo. I bought the GAME Color thinking it would be a substitute for regular Vallejo black and yeah, no. It's a huge pain to work with.
In my experience, Vallejo Black is the paint to use for *black* blacks. I've used it elsewhere and I love it. Good luck finding it though. If you need a bit more warmth to your blacks, Abaddon works ok.
Honestly, I can't tell till I get the figure in hand which one would be better but those are the three that I've had personal experience with.

Kane sold more figs! |

It would be cool if Ringside would do like pretty much everyone else and announce their preorders the day before they go live. But their podcast buddies need the figures first. So I get why they continue to use that business model.
