I don’t have one of these Kane’s so don’t have a dog in the fight so to speak However two things 1. People are entitled to voice their opinion, good and bad on product 2. While entitled to voice their opinion it should not go into the realms of hassling and just being annoying which this became These are what $30 toys? (I’m in the uk, not sure how much these retail for on the states) they will not always come out perfect, it’s not like your buying a $500 hot toys product or similar Bit of perspective sometimes - Steve is just a guy who works at a toy company and is kind enough as a fan and employee to give updates and info on here. Your not ‘entitled’ to a response unless you go through the official channels to Mattel to complain etc. They’re $32.99 in store now so for me would come out to around 36 after tax. Nobody got these in store yet so everyone is off Ringside who is 37.99 and for me 46.65 after tax shipping and discount code I feel like the people being annoying about it are even justified because they want to spend 50 on it and want it to be good. Those are the people who probably buy two of each. It just sucks all around bc they’re just fans who want to throw their money at good wrestling toys

Your not ‘entitled’ to a response unless you go through the official channels to Mattel to complain etc. I understand where this is coming from, but there is also a cycle of sort here. When things are done poorly from a creative or design perspective, us collectors are a lot less likely to buy into figures. If enough poorly designed figures come out, us collectors go from less buying to less interest. At that point, a lower volume of sales for a particular line leads to the talking heads or designers saying "we didn't see a lot of interest in this line," or something to that effect. Now we are doing this cat and mouse game where Mattel doesn't want to continue the Legends line or the Ultimate line because of a lack of interest; but we are not uninterested in the line. We are displeased with the figures being released. There are only two public figures in this area, so of course all of the questions and complaints are directed at them. In the same sense, I see a ton of people praising the two for some of the stuff that Mattel knocks out of the park. But a major part of having successful figure lines is the entire community giving as much feedback as possible. In this case, its totally justified. You don't see things like unpainted elbows in other toy lines that are $8-$10 less than the Ultimate line. This is the brand's premium line and it came with a giant flub that made a lot of collectors annoyed. And to mention the "entitled" response -- Steve obviously heard us and waited to give a response. He was taking a week or so to talk with Mattel and making sure this issue was made right with us all before he said anything.

Brother Love died so the world could have red elbows. Sacrifices had to be made to the Mattel gods. But...something tells me he's been reincarnated.....ohhhhhh yessss....

Your not ‘entitled’ to a response unless you go through the official channels to Mattel to complain etc. So because these are only $30, you’re giving Mattel a pass on this error (after years of other cheap-tactics on their end). Doesn’t matter if it’s a $30 or $500 figure, I’m all for consumers calling out product concerns. Harassing one person is not the route to go, but voicing concerns to a company works. I collect hot toys. When the Mark 85 Iron Man released, the Stark head-sculpt was pretty bad and differed greatly from the promo images. Fans called out Hot Toys, and they offered replacement heads. With Hasbro, their Power Ranger Dino Thunder White figure released with major paint missing. Fans called out Hasbro, and they offered replacement heads. Now Mattel is doing the same with their “ultimate” Kane after fans called them out. If it wasn’t for fans calling these companies out, I can guarantee they’d have done nothing to correct the issues.

I'm curious too how this whole replacement thing works...I got 2 Kane's and was planning on opening one but not sure if I should do it yet. If it’s similar to Hasbro’s power Rangers replacement parts earlier this year, most likely just need a receipt for proof of purchase and we’d email it to Mattel customer service.

I imagine it'll be just like how the replacement heads for the Ultimate Rock were handled. You contact them via this page, input all the relevant information including the product and manufacturing codes, detail the issue, and voila they'll send you the replacements in a baggie.

What was the issue with The Rock, out of curiousity? (I obviously missed that one).

That UE Undertaker is an INCREDIBLE figure. It's shocking how much better it looks compared to the photos

If I had one criticism with the figure, it's the arms. I feel they're a little too big for his physique at the time. Other than that though, I think it's a damn good figure
