Have you ever bought a figure just for the accessory? Did you keep the figure or sell it off/give it away?
Recently, I was playing around with the Wolfpac Sting and put the DM coat on it, and was amazed with how much better it made the figure look...So much so that I just bought another DM Sting (to take the jacket off and sell the figure loose). I also bought two Summerslam Visceras when it came out, since the Hardcore Title isn't made very often.
I think my rule is that if I don't have the figure already, I'll keep it (since it seems like cheating to have the accessory without having at least one of the figure), but if I do already have it, I can just get rid of the 2nd one. Might be a stupid rule, but it works for my brain...

I bought that Tyler Bate figure for like $12 to get the UK Championship for the E64 Pete Dunne. I kept the figure, but it's just kinda tucked into the back of my NXT shelf.

I’ve bought figures with build-a-figure parts just for the parts.
I’ve bought basics just for headswaps.
I bought eg Dibiase just for the soft goods suit.
And I’m sure there’s been more

For sure. Also, don’t discount the role this plays in a figure’s MOC value over time.
Take Legends 12 Nash for example. Would imagine that will be the most opened Legends fig since the wave’s re-release because of the Outsiders shirt.
More figs opened ➡️ Less MOC ➡️ Value 📈

Been thinking on and off about getting the Wrestlemania Savage and Andre for those carts. Also had a fleeting thought of getting a Super 7 Will Ospreay for the IWGP Jr belt but most likely wont. And not really an accessory but wanted the recent Bam Bam Bigelow specifically to do a head swap.

I got E65 English for the coat to put on The Fiend, various figures for the Championships, Ringside Funhouse Bray for the puppets.. I am sure there are others.

Cant tell you how many figs I picked up just for the belts. E87 Apollo comes to mind. I waited on the NXT North American title thinking they’d do better than a color issue on Cole and a street gear Velveteen while he was in the middle of being accused. But here we are over 20 series later and still no new North American title.

Indeed. I do not care who the figure is, if it comes with a belt I'm buying. I like the cloth shirts, so I'll snag a figure if it comes with one. Weird accessories, too. I grabbed that newest Otis for the lunchbox.

Ken Kennedy in the DA series and Elite Shane McMahon in the gray/white shirt...both came with announcer tables, making them an incredible deal.

Im sure I have on multiple occasions...The latest one I can think of is buying the Jinder Mahal that came with the SD ring just so I could get the head wrap to use on my Network Spotlight version

I bought the Elite 85 Bray solely to get the Huskus to complete the Funhouse. Though I am more inclined to keep that figure than the Bray that came with the rest of the puppets.

I will do that to get new belts, like the IC title with Shinsuke and the US title with Apollo, both who I already had figures for. I did it with the Ringside exclusive Funhouse Wyatt and nwo Cena, too, to get the accessories and backdrops they came with. And then there are the build a figure sets.
