Now that Mattel’s resigned a WWE deal, I’ve been thinking about all the cool little pieces in my collection that don’t get enough lough, but are crazy that we have. We all gush over Warrior of Punk or HBK.
Some of my favorite unsung gems are: The Natural Disasters The Nasty Boys Dean Malenko ECW Terry Funk Godfather Stardust Boogeyman
Who are some of your unsung heroes in your collection?

Quite a lot actually. I love pulling them out of storage and seeing stuff I’d forgotten about.

A few of mine:
Part swapped grey glove basic Taker to look more like his hasbro. Fan Central white/gold Sting basic from the Taker 2-pack. Turquoise suited M$M. Just need a m$m belt to go with him. ABA Taker from Title Showdown Jeff Hardy 2-Pack

Kamala is easily the best figure they’ve produced. That Boogeyman was also a great looking figure.

Basic Series 1 Evan Bourne, Basic Series 2 Rey Mysterio, and Battle Pack 1 HBK/Jericho are still some of my favorites ever. They aren't so obscure but I am so nostalgic over these early figures even though they aren't anywhere near the best Mattels ever produced.
I almost feel like the early Mattels and the newer Mattels are different kinds of figures. I'm not sure how to explain it. I really love those first few sets a ton, though.

Kamala. Absolutely incredible figure.
I think that Amazon Mankind with the removable hair is one of the best figures Mattel has ever made, and, by extension, it's one of the best wrestling figures ever. I know it's Foley, and he's wildly popular, but I don't feel like that figure gets talked about nearly enough.
I'm also going to say Howard Finkel. Killer likeness on that one and so cool they worked him into the line.
Elite 82 King in the blue is probably my other one. I'm sure the nostalgia on that one is reserved for mostly New Gen fans, but what a brilliant figure.

The whole of Elite 14 is one I get nostalgic about when I see it. It wasn't my first complete set, far from it, but it was the first set I bought as a "full set" rather than buying them as singles in store. That whole set is brilliant, Boss Man & Booker are near perfect, the Cena/Taker/Rock are fantastic but my favourite is the Del Rio weirdly enough. I still love that figure, and that set.

Off the top of my head, Basic Sid Justice because it is a classic look for him. Also that basic Sergeant Slaughter is great. I've got a basic Mr Perfect I really like. And I dont have it, but, Million Dollar Man in the green suit for the Hasbro vibes.

I have mine displayed with my GI Joe Classified figures and he scales perfectly with them.
