So it would be a long match, and I don’t know if WWE (even with three brands) has enough teams, but what would you think about a tag team Royal Rumble match? Four guys start, every 90 seconds a new tag team comes out. Again, it might be something that could only be done after more teams are signed, and you’d definitely have to get NXT involved, but I feel like this could be a fun match if it were to eventually happen.

Vince doesnt care about Tag Team wrestling. He tried to split up every one of them at the draft.

I mean, they did the tag team battle royal at WMXIV and it was...less than great. I don't really think filling it up progressively versus the all in one start would make it much more interesting.

They did a tag team Royal Rumble in 1998 on Monday Night Raw. I wanna say Kane and Mankind were victorious eliminating Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio.

It'd be difficult at this point to do a tag team Elimination Chamber, let alone a Royal Rumble.

Tag team royal rumble was also done in late august/early september 1999. But it ended in a no contest.
But yeah the famous Vince quote comes to mind here: "tag teams don't make me money."

Sounds like a nightmare. There's already enough men and women in each Royal Rumble that the fans don't care to see, or we all know they have zero chance of winning the thing. Imagine just adding to that with the tag team rosters on each brand.
Also, there are no stakes because any tag team can challenge and win the tag titles within the way WWE books the division. Any team could challenge the champs on any PPV and no one thinks its odd. There is no interest in the tag team title picture on the creative side. They could do a tag team turmoil match on RAW tonight and have two no names win the #1 contendership and it wouldn't be a highlight in any way.
I would say this match could work somewhere between 2016-2018, but would fail in the ten or twelve years before that and now. There's just not an interesting roster of teams between RAW, SD and NXT.

Instead of a tag Rumble, give us a Rumble where no one in it is a former Heavyweight Champion.

I think it would be too chaotic to enjoy. Also it wouldn’t have the same every man for himself entertainment value as the regular royal rumble.

The tag Rumble they did in 1998 was really enjoyable but I can't see how it would work in modern WWE.
Also tag teams do compete in the actual Rumble. They have done for years.
