Is it just me or have we been getting lots of Hulk Hogan figures recently? There’s the upcoming ultimate edition with Mr. T, there’s the other ultimate edition with his WCW “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan look, there’s the Amazon exclusive fan takeover ultimate edition, there’s the new basic figure, and now there’s the elite 91 series Hulk Hogan from Summerslam.
To me, this new Hulk Hogan figure (the one from elite 91) almost looks like an ultimate edition with the amount of accessories that we’re getting. The shirt, the bandana + glasses, a few pairs of interchangeable hands, and the boa that he wears during his entrance. It’s really looking like another ultimate edition Hogan for the ruthless aggression era. Thoughts?

I think it’s good they’re not dropping the ball on Hogan again this time around (other than including Mega Maniacs in the fan poll). They need to be pumping out as many as possible cuz who knows how long he’ll be around.

Day 2 was a dud for me. Good stuff, just not selections I’m in to. But I did like Day 1 so not a bad showing overall

Appreciate all the work put into the last 2 days of reveals. Certainly some good stuff.
We are starting to see the impact WWE’s paired down roster is going to have on Mattel. Sadly, this is probably only the beginning.

What year is the RVD chase based on? 2007. It's from Wrestlemania 23.

Mattel really sucks at details. Like who’s job is it to check it before it goes into production? I’d like to take their job. I say this be because they didn’t paint the arm tattoo on hbk.

Might get Mean Mark just so I can add that vest and chaps to Barry Windham.

Honestly it’s really depressing seeing customizers make better work than an entire toy company using the already existing parts from said toy company. Mac_decals posted a red 2002 Edge he made months ago with accurate boots and the added details on Edge’s wrist wraps and seeing the official Mattel version next to it was just maddening how one guy did a better job in his free time than an entire team paid to do this.

It appears that they added a knee brace to Hogan and changed the belt to Hollywood, so now it's accurate to Summerslam 2005!

I’ve never seen a Bret sit on shelves long. Austin either. Yeah Austin is pretty much the same but the time in between elite releases for him means this figure will sell. There’s always going to be new collectors and Austin is arguably the biggest name in wrestling’s history next to Hogan so people are going to want him. Old Man Bret’s TRU SS2010 warmed hard in my area. Mine too. I really wanted one until I discovered he had Cena's super jacked body. I assume the new Bret has the same issue.

I wonder if they updated Hogan’s torso for the thicker one on the elite. It makes no sense if they gave him the Sheamus torso. Also, Van Dam was rolling up that good stuff, he legit made me laugh. One thing that sort of sticks out to me from his last elite and this one is the skinny legs they keep giving him. Van Dam always had thick legs, I hope they fix that in the future. I also like both attires and I believe he wore the rising sun at WrestleMania 23?

Outside maybe Hogan and Mr T, RVD as well, this is super uninteresting sadly. Where the hell is Ultimate 12? Lol skipped a whole series. And I didn’t watch the video, so did they mention half of E92 missing?

Bret and Austin "always" selling is a stretch...every Austin is exactly the same aesthetically and that Bret is just an all around horrible pick for this line. I think Bret being the old man Bret is most peoples biggest complaint. Not sure if that one will sell well. They could have done a number of other WM attires of his (WM3, WM4, WM8, WM9, WM12, WM13) all would sell really well. But, with that being said, the figure turned out well.
