Thanks Mattel, I have to buy these four garbage figures to get the one I actually want. No idea why I don’t just expect it at this point. Well, that’s a YOU problem, nobody is forcing you to buy it. Thanks, I’m well aware and that’s not the point. But thanks for the input there. |

Exceedingly unpopular opinion here, but I like this set.
AJ is wonderful. Might actually get a couple of him for parts.
Austin is fine. Don't need him though.
Shawn is gorgeous. Head's a bit iffy but I feel the body makes up for it.
Bret is the big winner here for me. I've wanted this figure for awhile now but didn't want to pay secondary prices. Now I can finally get one.
I'll probably get all four just for the BAF. You know how I am with my McMahons. Austin will either get sold or thrown in a bin though.

Interesting that AFA mentioned in the Q&A post that Shawn was actually a last minute replacement hence the head choice. Good to know it was something at least out of their control.
Gotta assume that the last fig in that series might have been an updated Daniel Bryan that’s no longer useable? I doubt since we were getting burned Fiend in E92 that it was a Wyatt figure.

I would have said Bret but according to Bill during the Ringside panel he claimed they tooled new parts for him so I guess he was in the works all along, AJ as well probably to match Taker. |

Given how plain everyone else is in the line it leads me to believe that whoever was replaced had either a lot of deco, accessories, and/or cloth goods. Maybe Flair WMX8 or WMXX? nWo Bray with soft goods nWo shirt and leather jacket? nWo Bray with Vince & Buzzard commentary puppets and commentary table?

The UE Austin arms and one head on the same figure we've had for 10+ years. The Royal Rumble elite only just left the shelves over here too. Was really hoping they would switch it up. Try bigger thighs and arms, try the elite Roode/Apollo torso. Even a jorts Austin would have been nice, this is just a budget UE with a better ab crunch and no butterfly joints, pretty dissapointing.
I like the HBK for what it is, same parts for 10 years lol. I've given up on HBK figures getting accurate waists on the tights/pants. He always wore his stuff high and it really stands out on figures to me. But other than its pretty good, the faded tat is a nice touch, thought it was a mistake but its accurate.
Kind of an odd wave, feels low cost, like something bigger was removed from it.

I'm not falling over with excitement for this entire set, but I'll definitely get that HBK if it finds it's way to Ireland's stores (which it should, I think Smyths carry this line).
I think it's important to note that, although many here are long term collectors, there is a need to make this appeal to the average Joe Soap, too. Austin seems to sell relatively well, so I have no issue with him being there. I've no interest in AJ or Bret myself, but they're big enough names, so hopefully they'll sell and make a little profit to ensure the line stays in production.

Steve appeared to confirm that the Bret figure is using the Cena body like with his Summerslam 2010 version. Probably means I'll pass on it but I'd be interested in seeing any fix-ups you guys do.

This set makes me want to buy it and open it as well as most of my MOC collection to display lol. Would love a Detolf full of loose figs but can’t bring myself to it, at least not yet.
Also, I want all 4 so I can have Vince complete as well but it feels kind of pointless if I’m keeping them MOC (other than potential value later of having the complete set MOC). If I wouldn’t be opening them that makes me want to mainly just get HBK.

Can Mattel release Stone Cold with thicker thighs? Mattel used thicker thighs on Stunning Steve Austin which looked great but can't do the same for Stone Cold. 😑
