I'm so much happier as a collector to just pick and choose what I want. Back in the Jakks days I felt like I needed everything and it was too stressful, especially for a teen with limited income.

I know that feeling.
Problem for many of us older Jakks collectors is we didn't follow the Mattel line from the start. For me, I decided I'd finish collecting when Jakks gave up the license (and also clearly gave up caring about the stuff they were releasing).
Unfortunately, that means I missed red Legion of Doom, Demolition, Akeem, Natural Disasters, etc. and unlike Jakks, Mattel don't seem to be re-releasing them over and over, which makes it hard to buy in too much, knowing you'll never fully complete a roster as you can't get a lot of the wrestlers you wanted.

I'm in the same boat to some extent. Like I have Crush but no Ax/Smash, Earthquake but no Typhoon. I didn't really get into Mattel until a few years ago, although I did buy the odd one (mainly Macho and Warrior). I'm awfully glad I don't have to go around buying some of the figures I have at the current prices they're going for... |

Local toy store had Akeem for $300 today. Don’t see it seeing so might pick it up next month.

Good choice! 👍 I’m selling off a lot of mine to focus on Legends. Still sticking to Golden and New Gen eras though Here’s mine:  What are those cases if I may ask? Ringside? |
