I thought they had released some for Deadly Alliance that were freaking sweet, but then stopped after a series or two. It's too bad too because I remember seeing the Sub-Zero and being blown away by how cool it looked.

Two companies were making them at once a few years ago. Palisades and a new company called Infinite Concepts. Palisades had almost no articulation or playability. IC's were very big (at least 8 inches tall) but had a good amount of articulation. They had something on their feet that was supposed to make it so they could balance in any pose. Those never worked. Infinite Concepts only released one series of Mortal Kombat figures before disappearing. The line-up were: Lui Kang, Sonya Blade, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, and Shang Tsung. Yes, they are hard to find, especially Sub-Zero and Mileena. Series 2 was supposed to include Jax, Kano, Kitana, Reptile, Rayden, and Goro. The coolest figure from that series was Mileena. If you removed her face mask, it exposed her demon mouth! I have all the IC MK figures, but I don't know how to post pictures on this site. However, here ia a link that shows a pic of Scorpion and Kang. www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=fignews2.setup&category=actionfigures&topic=75&show_article=10And here is another link showing the rest of that series: www.toymania.com/sdcc99/infinite/

To my knowledge, nobody is producing Mortal Kombat figures at this time. I wish a company like SOTA would get the licensing so we can get some kick ass articulated MK figures!

My top picks for companies to make Mortal Kombat figures are:
Art Asylum:Dark Angel figures were great, Star Trek figures look cool. Toybiz: Big-time articulation, good detail Jakks Pacific: If done in 6 inch format, highly articulated.

Jazwares will be making them. There the company that produces the MegaMan figure based on the video games, plus there also doing Street Fighter.
