If this means more spots for potentially more Macho and Warrior have opened up in future waves then I’m all for these cuts. Get rid of all the bloat so more proven stars can get made.
Wait. You want people to lose their jobs for the benefit of your action figure collection?

I would have loved an elite tegan nox but now it’ll never happen because Vince choose to never use her on the main roster, which the only reason her and hit row were brought up is so the can have a 90 day no compete clause vs 30
Do you think that company's being run with so much attention to detail that they would bother with that? This is not a company that cares about the specific situations of specific talents. The likelier scenario is that people are getting called up based on positive buzz or length of time in NXT, and then the goobers in charge don't have anything for them or in many cases are even aware they exist. Tegan's probably a case where the misfiring neurons in Vince's brain saw Shotzi's hair and said, "At least that one's marketable, PAL! Get some green wigs in the Shop! Whatta maneuver!" but didn't see anything special about Tegan from a 5-second glance. Then Bucky probably said, "Sheth got an athcent, Vinthe!" and that was that.
The weird thing is that she might be leaving with an undefeated record on the main roster - did her and Shotzi ever lose a match? I'm hoping she does another Stardom run, they have a ridiculously good roster there at this point.
with how heartless Vince obviously is it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he purposely does that why else bring up so much nxt talent only to release them right after, I surely hope tegan gets picked up soon after her 90 days and has a great run there

As opposed as those on here reacting to people losing their jobs as missed opportunities of figures they won’t be getting? Losing job does not mean losing income. They are entitled to unemployment benefits and can probably work elsewhere when the time is right

They are entitled to unemployment benefits and can probably work elsewhere when the time is right Exactly. They’re still getting paid their minimum guarantee during their no-compete time period. If they’re talented then they’ll find work elsewhere. If not, then it probably wasn’t the profession they needed to be in anyway. Am I rooting for more cuts? No. But when discussing how it impacts action figure collecting in an action figure forum, then when there’s a mass release of talent from the current roster then it can only be a positive for those who collect legends.

Sure, there are other streams of income, but you don’t get paid (income) if you don’t have a job - and while there maybe unemployment benefits available, they won’t be equivalent, hence LOSS of income.

No it means losing your job. Income can be attained other ways and often does after losing a job It means losing a significant source of income. Exactly what are you trying to prove here? It sucks to lose a job. Even for people who are likely going to find work elsewhere. There's no guarantee future work is going to be paid as well or be as consistent as a contract with the industry leader. A lot of these people are going to land on their feet pretty well, but not everyone will.

Employment is LITERALLY the trading of knowledge / ideas or labour for income. Having to try and convince someone of this is just madness.

Most of them just don't have anyone to advocate for them, and that's obviously gotten worse with the company having a outside-wrestling CRO who seems monomaniacal about cutting costs. If so many of these cuts seem entirely arbitrary, I think the simplest explanation is because they are. This year the company has seen major departments like talent relations fracture into multiple smaller departments, they've had tons of executive turnover, they've made major changes to show formats. The place is a dumpster fire.

To be fair Morrison and Ryker weren't doing much. It wasn't Morrison's fault that the Miz went on Dancing with the Stars. They were about to start a program

Not to mention in 90 days they are unemployed with NO income. Why is this so hard for people to understand. Back on topic, sucks for these people who have been cut and lost their jobs, hopefully they find other avenues to pursue their careers. I read there are still 90+ males and nearly 40 females on the roster. End the brand spilt and they could probably go even harder with the cuts. Guess it truely is a business…
