Now that the racist RVD figure has been cancelled, what's next on your radar as far as mattel cancellations are concerned?
me personally, i'm eyeballing the chief jay strongbow fig. fake ethnic characters are not only racist but extremely problematic in the current year.
the new big boss man is also extremely problematic. glorifying police in the current year is not only bad optics for mattel, but also irresponsible.
(the chase version in the black attire is cool bc he just looks like mall security so that one is fine, the regular version is totally not ok.)
i am surprised to see mattel offer such an offensive character selection but now that they've cancelled the extremely offensive RVD figure, I am hoping they will open their eyes to the other problematic figures they are offering.

I really hope they don’t start bringing politics into action figures. The new Chase RVD has an attire that has an offensive flag which is completely understandable. If we really dug hard enough I’m sure we could go back and find something offensive that almost 90% of the roster has said at one point or another. I don’t understand why they would even consider cancelling big bossman. Let’s hope they fast track a different attire RVD for an upcoming elite series.

Mattel is a publicly traded company that primarily sells childrens toys and works with many big licenses. If you can’t understand why they cancelled the figure after the backlash, then I don’t know what to tell you. Yes other wrestlers have problematic pasts, but no way is Mattel going to allow an attire with a flag that is considered racist by a large population to be on a figure. Tough luck.
