correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm seeing some owen hart series 6 and new age outlaws left arm influence in that adam bomb drawing. and i say that in a good way! i think its awesome to use the old bca's as a basic outline! Yep! Good eye. To some degree, I think Mark Henry/Dr. Death was the inspiration for Meanie’s body type. The shirt collar for Meanie reminds me of a Road Dogg torso. I love these little callbacks and can’t wait to see what else they come up with. If I could have one request taken into consideration, I’d ask for there NOT to be any Sultan or Savio legs in this line. i caught that also but figured it was just general coincidence. once i saw adam bomb, i definitely realized there would be throwbacks in the design! kudos for that! kinda funny too because i definitely remember some blue meanie customs back in the day using the mark henry figure. and now that i think about it, the original owen hart figure was used for adam bomb customs too. nice little nod updating that formula with the updated mold of the original base figure(its 230am for me, hopefully that wording makes sense haha)

Adam Bomb should have been the first announcement IMO.
Colourful, awesome attire. He just about fits the start of the BCA line (he was around in 95), and he was a memorable midcard gimmick of his era.

Maybe even more so than with Meanie. I think that’s to be expected considering how much more familiar he is to fans of his respective era. What I’d be more concerned with is whether preorders will exist for both at the same time and the effect, if any, that will have on Meanie’s numbers. If people are going to buy Meanie, I would think they will regardless of the presence of another name, but I’m not sure yet what will happen when preorders go live. Especially at the same time, which is not yet confirmed. If the quantities are the same as the Wrestling Megastars line, then there shouldn’t be an issue with either guy selling through. My guess is that FC and Chella have enough confidence in both to lead the way. I look at the first two reveals as occupying either end of the BCA wishlist spectrum, and maybe on some level these first offerings could be likened to an experiment to see which is the more preferred timeframe for collectors. If the mid ‘90s does better than the late ‘90s, then I suppose FC and Chella will make note of that and use that information to their advantage. There’s no question that they will do what they can to best deliver on the names that people want.

Price point with these is going to be tricky. I imagine production costs will be high….but the market won’t be huge like they are for Hasbro-type figs. $25-30 seems like the sweet spot. $40 and he would probably be pushing it. One more reason I rolled my eyes at the MWFP bendies being $100 per set. Even if profits are slim, that’s a big ask for anyone who wants to collect each series.

That's just what we all have to expect out of these start-up toy lines. I'm already preparing myself for them to be $40 each before shipping, but if things change and the price becomes lower, I'll be pleasantly surprised. No one should think that with all that's going on in the world these will be unaffected by rising production costs. Completely new molds are being made for this line, so it's probably not unreasonable to think that the first wave will not be very profitable for FC and Chella even at $40 each if that's what they end up going for. I trust them to go about this smartly and do what they think is best for not only the success of the line but collectors' individual interests as well.

I'd imagine the whole set will be out at the same time, but whether or not they list them as a set AND individually remains to be seen. I'd like to think they will, given how many people are gonna want one of one of the guys they make rather than buying the set for one figure. I'm a full setter on these, I'm wondering if there'll be a little discount on the full set price against buying them solely. I'm very curious what route they go down.

I think the plan all along was to offer them individually similar to how Chella does their Wrestling Megastars line. Jack mentioned the releases being staggered for Series 1. I don’t know if that’s changed at all since he gave those interviews, but I can’t imagine them offering more than two names at one time for the sheer price of it. The majority of collectors would not be able to afford a complete set of six all at once. If they’re $40 each, that’s $240 before shipping. Maybe you could offer a discount on the full price once all are available to order, but I don’t know if that would benefit most buyers who probably prefer Chella’s current system of preorders.

Ah I see, I was under the wrong impression that they'd be released in sets, so that's good to know it'll be similar to the Retro's. I was thinking if the 6 were released at once, would it be like what online retailers having a price for the full set too, but it makes sense they don't do that I guess given it would probably be a high price and that might deter as many people ordering all at once.

Amazing news!!! Ultimate was always a dream bca of mine!! Also I had been working on a ultimate custom and the base that I am using is a Ken shamrock bca.. I am super excited that these new figures really take inspiration from the originals. Was already excited for the previous announcements but this one takes the cake!!

Is the Ultimo a first draft? Seems like a lot of his usual attire details were left out.
