No interest in Dragon, but Ono is a huge buy. 10/10 choice there.

Is the Ultimo a first draft? Seems like a lot of his usual attire details were left out. It’s the artist’s interpretation of what the figure will look like, so some things could change by the time production begins. Some aspects of the ring attire might need to be done in a different way (printed details as opposed to sculpted) in order to not go over budget. I would imagine there is interest in sculpting parts that could be used later for other names, as well. Lots to consider, but for what it is, it’s a phenomenal start. Sonny is the best sculpt of the four that have been shown thus far. Can’t wait to see the remaining two from Series 1.

Here are some larger-sized pics of today’s reveal, along with a screenshot of Chella saying the 2-pack preorder will hopefully be up in February. Preorders start January 22 for Meanie. Not sure yet if Clark will be the same week or sometime after that. Are you sure it's 6 figures total for series 1?? I am asking because I was under the assumption that it was 6 base figures and a two pack for wave one. Again I'm only making that assumption based on their hasbro style figures. Wave one of that had 7 total and wave 2 has 10 total. I'm just wondering if it's something that I've missed where it was posted somewhere. I hope its more than 6 as I am buying whatever they put out in BCA style!! Another thing that I have been wondering is that in the artwork shown it states that there are 5 POA. a little worrying as bcas had 6 POA ( legs x2, arms x2, waist, and head.) I wouldn't mind if the head didn't move but I fear it's the waist that won't move which would be unfortunate. I am just so happy that my all time favorite toy line is getting some shine with this wonderful homage. I cannot wait to see who is next as dragon came out of left field for me because I was kind of expecting all of the names to be talents that chella is already making toys of in their various other lines. But dragon and Ono just opens the possibilities up and makes my imagination go wild. I feel like a kid again. I really hope that they release a luna and bull Nakano and more females in general. To be honest I'd be disappointed if they redid al snow and gangrel as we already have bca representations of those two. However as stated before, I will buy whatever they put out in bca form.

I hope they stick with just 90's guys. No need to dip into Indie guys.

Yes, it will be six total figures for Series 1. Four singles and one 2-pack. That’s a great question regarding the POA. I would assume the waist is included in that. I don’t think anything has been said about neck articulation. Maybe 3Lephant (Naptown Icon) could elaborate on that, as I wouldn’t want to say something that isn’t currently true.

Was this mentioned somewhere?? For me the more figures the better, but I do understandthat making molds for different figures is an expensive process.I think that's where repaints and variants will come in down the line.yes I'm a little worried that the waist might not move. Like the old kenner toys... if we are knmy getting six then I'd really be disappointed I. Al or gangrel as I'd feel it's a waste of a spot. I'd also be disappointed if they made new indy guys although I read in one of your recaps that it wasn't in the works.

My Hayabusa figure from Chella has waist articulation and only slight neck movement from side to side because of the hair. If that’s true for Chella’s other retro figures, then maybe the same will be true of BCWs. Limited neck articulation. Tooling is expensive so I would expect to see parts reused throughout the line. Exclusive variants, similar to the Retro Aldis figures, could be a possibility. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but I’m sure we’ll hear something in the coming weeks. If you’re jonesing for more BCWs, fear not, because more are on the way. We should have Series 2 and Series 3 reveals to look forward to next year. We might get up to 18 characters, not including variants, for 2022. I wouldn’t bank on Al Snow and Gangrel both coming right away. I think Chella and FC know not to go too heavy on characters that were already made by Jakks.

I wonder if Onoo will be like other managers in BC history, and not be bone crunching.

Yeah a lot of bcas had their heads glued on which is something that I feel doesn't take away too much from the figures..... looks like the sonny onoo is heavily inspired by the Clarence Mason figure that came with crush.. If the figures look like the concept art they will fit in smoothly with existing bcas. As far as al snow and gangrel go... I feel like them making an al snow would be super easy... they'd just have to use the parts from Adam bomb with the existing al snow head they produced and you have a singlet look for him. Now that I think about it they can use the sam adam bomb to make vampire warrior for gangrel. I am pretty certain that they will reuse parts a ton and that's actually a good thing if it means they can make more money to sign new talent. The ultimate dragon legs and torso would go great with Adam bomb arms to make an Essa rios.... they have a lot to work with.
