It would have been nice to see WWE and Jeff Hardy work this out, but hopefully he can fit in elsewhere.

I would love for this to be a huge story line.
Jeff said something along the lines on the Austin podcast, "I got this great story line I wanna past Vince, it would be the last big thing I do."
However, maybe Jeff not winning the battle royal a few weeks ago on Smackdown in his home town, he just finally said, "screw it" and walked off in that match.
Either way, I will miss seeing Jeff Hardy on WWE TV.

It would be incredible if ROH used this to propel themselves when they come back.

I can understand why he thinks he doesn’t need rehab. He probably feels like this was just a hiccup, and maybe it was. It’s not my place to judge or say what he needs. I guess we’ll have to see what happens next. This may be a forum, but I have no right to comment on what someone should or shouldn’t do in their personal life, especially if I don’t know them.
All that I can say is that if this was indeed a hiccup, he’ll likely be fine once his No compete clause expires. At that point I would have no issues with AEW signing him. Matt and Jeff finishing up together just seems like the way that things should be.
WWE treated him very well on this last run, far better than they treated (or presented rather) Matt.

Damn, I just watched the Austin episode with him and I was really optimistic about seeing him getting a bit of a push and another run. It's a bloody shame man, I really hope he gets the wake up call he needs but he's been in this position before and here we are again. As a human being I really feel sorry for him, addiction I wouldn't wish on anyone. I just hope he's gonna be okay.

Pretty clear some of you have been fortunate enough not to have someone close to you battle addiction. I really hope Jeff does get help if it’s that serious. A lot worse could happen than losing a wrestling career.

Jeff apparently mentioned in an interview that he wanted to bring the character to life in the WWE.

jeff hardy being my favorite wrestler ever.... him...seriously how many chances does he need Clearly must not be your favorite or that important to you if you’re that quick to throw stones and just believe internet gossip and rumors by dirt sheet writers. His family has step forward clarifying that he is fine. If you’ve ever dealt with any of this type of situation within your family life, you’d know that family wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this type of issue if it was, in fact, a legitimate issue. Seriously believe that he declined help because he truly doesn’t need it. I’d be willing to guess that he is burnt out, tired, and possibly just needing a break. Who knows. But if he’s your favorite support him, let the clarification come out before taking dirt sheet posts as gospel

If Jeff were my favorite wrestler ever (assuming everything occurred as reported), I'd want nothing more than for him to get whatever help he needs, whether it was his first go-round with this sort of thing or his 500th. Been seeing a lot of weird takes on this today, and it really surprises me to learn what some fans think these guys owe them.
