My priority is always the women's roster, especially joshi wrestlers, so honestly my answer would probably be like...2020, right before Kairi went into semi-retirement and before all the big rounds of layoffs.

Probably 1989. You get Mega Powers, WM5 Macho, and Macho King all in the same year. And that SS89 silver and black attire.

98 obviously, but any of the mid to late Attitude Era years work 99-2001.

When you said it could go across WWE, WCW, and ECW the choice became very obvious for me to be 1997. What an electric year.

1989 for Hulk Rules, my favorite Warrior attires, heel Macho, and Demolition, Brain Busters, PoP, Rockers, Rougeaus, and Strike Force for tag teams. That’s just WWF. WCW had some great attires and characters too. Galloob WCW Series 1 attires for starters.

That's hard. 1992, 1996, 2002 would probably be my top 3.

But he wasn’t exclusively talking about Wrestlemania. He was saying Piper wasn’t around in between those two events I think. him being at WM3 means he was there in 87, V means he was there in 89 so if you picked those years you’d get Piper. 88 you don’t. Could’ve also said he was out all 88 Sorry I didn’t say it perfectly for you. Other people said he missed WM IV. I was pointing out that he was completely missing in the period between WM III and V. I also wanted to add some extra context that he would count for 87 and 89 without typing a book. I will try to get my posts approved by you in the future. Or you know, stop obsessing that you missed the point.

2482. Just you wait. You'll all regret picking other years.

I'm drawing a blank, has Mattel released any ECW figures based on 1998? Bam Bam Bigelow Forgot about him. Good one.

92 feels good - end of golden era / start of new gen and you get a lot of cross over on this year

2001. Easy pick.
But of course, that would be in a world where Mattel releases Elites of all of them. Wrestlemania X7 is nearly unanimously considered the greatest WM of all time, but we're still struggling to get figures of it. You'd have thought the Hardyz, the Dudleyz, and E&C would have been a lock from day one. Plus, where the heck is Eddie? RVD? Jericho? Angle? Trish? Shane? Vince?? How the heck did we get Chyna before any of these people?!
Sorry, just a thing for me I guess. If I was running the show, every possible figure from that show would have been released by now. I know they can't do Benoit, and they aren't going to do Linda, but everyone else conceivable would have been released by now.
Actually, while I'm not a legends collector, can anyone tell me if there are more Legends figures released that represented the Battle Royale than there are the actual show? Because it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. We have multiple Slaughters, the Goon, Iron Sheik, Hillbilly Jim, and jeebus I can't even remember who all was there. Just a point of curiosity, but I swear that the Gimmick Battle Royale is better represented than the actual show is.

Just curious, what is different between 87 & 88? about 365 days But really 86-89 are all very close together if you count WWF & NWA because most of the same player were in one of the two companies. I went with 88 mainly because that was Ultimate Warrior & Sting first full year in their respective company. Even though both debuted in late 87 you'd be limited on looks. The only big loss I could see with going 88 over 87 is not getting Piper. Im pretty sure he didnt wrestle in '88 but not sure if he did any other work or if he was in Hollywood the whole time. Yeah, the only guy I would miss out on is David Von Erich. Everything else would be there, probably even Owen in some capacity.

seeing as 97 was the best year in wrestling, probably that. U get Attitude Era. DX, Stone Cold, Hart Foundation, LOD, Undertaker, Mankind & Goldust
u got the WCW/NWO Nitro era with NWO, Sting, DDP, Cruiserweights, 4 Horsemen, Steiners & Harlem Heat
ECW PPV era with Sabu, RVD, Taz, Raven, BWO, Triple Threat, Dreamer, Funk, Dudleys, Eliminators, Gangstas & Sandman
