I got an older UE kane & saw the wrong pain on mask, I assume it has the bad elbow too. Does anyone has the model # & date (on kaneβs feet) so that I dont have to open my fig? Thanks The two I had were HDC86 25810B, and HDC86 24410B. And you can find them on the bottom of the box as well, which I was glad for, because I wanted to keep 1 MOC Thanks ππΌ |

Just bought this figure yodaya nd it has the paint issue too. I filled out the form an hour ago so I hope I can still get the replacement parts for it. Good figure btw really prefer it over the first elite of this figure. It is great for sure. I got a response last night that the parts are currently on back order, and I'll receive another email when a shipping estimate is known. Hopefully it won't be too long for us lol |

I just got this figure as a gift so I decided to email Mattel about the new parts. They want me to send my Kanes arm and heads to get them replaced.. Was anyone else requested to do the same?

I wasn't asked to do that, but I contacted them through Facebook messenger as opposed to email. You basically get like an immediate auto-reply that they will be in touch. When they contacted me back, they asked me to provide the model and date codes, when I bought them, how much I paid, and my address phone number and email. After doing that, later that night they messaged me back and also sent me an email saying they will be shipped when available. It might be easier to go through messenger if you can.. I mean you won't need the mis-painted ones anyway, but its strange.
Probably a scenario where multiple departments in the company can handle it, and they all do it differently. Classic corporate "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing "

I just filled out the Mattel customer service link last night & heard back from them this morning. Just need to respond that I was fine with waiting on back ordered parts.

Besides the understandable lag in initial response time and inability to track the parts in transit, the process was painless. For anyone that was placed on the back-order list, the wait is well worth it.

facebook messenger was really good for me. Got a response about 4 hours later. gave them all the codes on the boxes and the receipt. They told me it was backordered but will send another email when it ships. I also got a confirmation email showing an invoice for the backordered items. Great customer service!

I got the parts ordered through email no problems. I think the people that are running into trouble just arenβt explaining the situation correctly to the Mattel representative. π€·
