I just had to end a dispute over an auction of mine that ended over a month ago and get my Final Value Fee returned. I sold an auction for 2 Marvel Legend chase figures of Doombot and Red Skull. I got one email from the buyer saying he/she would send payment by money order. It never came. I kept sending emails, I did the payment reminder on eBay and they sent emails. No reply. Finally I got sick of it today and just got the money back.
Here is the really crappy thing. I did the "Picture Gallery" for a dollar to better display the figures for auction. I don't get that refunded. I also don't get back the insertion fee. This bastard screwed me out of that money. It may not seem like a lot, but deadbeat screwjobs add up. Plus, I have no cash.
The last deadbeat I dealt with left me retaliatory negative feedback when I did nothing wrong! He refused to pay for RA 1 Mysterio (after winning the auction for $18, then asking if he could have the figure for $10). After I got my money back minus the fees, I gave him negative feedback. So the bastard permanently scarred my eBay feedback rating in retaliation. I just want to do what they did in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back (fly to his town, hunt him down, and kick his ass!)
Anyways, this angers me. The silver lining of this ordeal is that I can relist the auction and add the rare Hulk with white shirt variant. Hopefully that will recoup my losses and raise the final value.

I just found out that the jerk who ripped me off and left me the negative feedback isn't even a registered member of eBay anymore. You would think I could contact eBay and have them remove his feedback since he was obviously lying.

Something like that happened to me. I bought a U.K. ROTR William Regal on ebay. I paid the person and they never sent. When I asked them about it they gave me negative feddback. And you can't get that removed without paying $20. Less than the price of the Regal. Kim

These are isolated incidents. I have over 150 positive feedbacks as proof that you don't always get ripped off. I think I have had 3 people not pay me and had maybe 2 not send an item I won. Thankfully, those items amounted to only about $26 total, so that's not bad. I have had great experiences on eBay. I have gotten stuff for cheap! (Red Cogliostro for $15! TTL5 Undertaker for $5, DC Direct Contemporary Teen Titans set of 4 for $36, BCA red Yokozuna for $3, etc) won extremely rare stuff (AB Toys Super Guerrier Dragonball Z model kits of Topian and Minoshiya, Tekken Tag Kazuya Mishima, etc.) and sold a ton of stuff for great amounts of cash (Simpsons figure lot for $490, Maskless Wolverine Chase $220, etc.) Don't let a few deadbeats fool you. It's like going to a big city doesn't mean you'll get mugged.

That really sucks. Did you return the feedback at least? Yes. But that was the only thing I could do. If I remember I called them a"disgrace to ebay". Kim

I think I've only been ripped off on Ebay once. I was dealing with a Great Britian seller, and they never sent my Gremlins doll I won off them. It's been around three years now and nada.
