I'm guessing when you made the post, you're thought process was "I can only see this going well". Yeah, I don't think it will, especially with the fact you've blatantly said "I scalp to desperate parents for more $$". Pathetic. The entire point of this post (and his gimmick) is to upset and rile up people with what annoys collectors… scalpers. It’s pretty obvious.

Hogans were a dime a dozen for me this year. I got some really bad advice on this board from a member whose name I can't quite remember, but he told me that Hogan prices were through the roof at his buddy's toy shop, and that if I invested right away, I could basically retire off of the Hogan offerings we got in 2021. I cashed out my 401k to buy the maximum that RSC would allow, in addition to any I found in the wild (when not dealing with irate Target employees who are being driven to quit over the demand for UE Hollywood figures), and honestly, by Christmas, I'd lost my shirt on the investment. I'm still sitting on a basement full of Hogans listed at $5 a pop BIN on eBay, and I feel like I'm going to wind up bequeathing these to my grandchildren. I guess the long and short of it is, and I hate to be the one to report this, Hogan is no longer moving merch in 2021, brother. IIIIIII LOOOOOVE YOUUUUUUUU leave the memories alone brother...

Don't know the guy and I've never seen a post of his in truth, so my bad. Internets fun, right? he constantly makes post about why Mattel should make hogan figures because he “sells merchandise in 2021 and so on”. He even went as far as to create a story of a “bidding war” over a hogan figure in one of his local toy shops.

If everyone on here walked into a store and found 3 chase AEW figures of the same figures….We all would buy all 3 of them. Let’s not act like were above it. I also bought 3 next gen ring / arena for the sole reason of selling 2 of them.

I have seen chase and the so called “rare” figures locally and left them. And I have never in my life bought something to sell it. Hell, I have never sold anything.

All I’m saying is there is nothing wrong with buying something that you know you can sell and double or triple your money. It’s an investment. Should everyone selling Hasbros on EBay be shamed because back in 1993 they were only $3.99 and now they’re $200-$500? It’s the same thing as buying chase figures or rare figures in stores.

You waited to the end of the year but congratulations on the Worst Argument of the Year Award. There’s a big difference between emptying current shelves to make $5 at someone else’s expense versus holding/having a figure for 30 years and selling them at their current market value.

And since I couldn’t help myself from feeding the OP troll and posting on one of their stupid threads, can we block them or something? If they are just to get a ride out of people, how is that a valued member of the community?

Is it scalping if you throw it on ebay and watch others fight for it ?

Every time OP makes a thread it's like swinging a bat at a hornets nest.
Buddy. As the OP of a thread I'm still trying to live down two years later, just stop. Please.
Unless you are enjoying starting multiple lock-destined threads a month, in which case, fine. You do you.

That’s not what he is talking about (and it’s obviously a troll post by someone who clearly has issues upstairs). He is talking about buying all current product, effectively cutting off supply for others, to just resell to them at higher prices. Same as the trash buying and hoarding toilet paper, Lysol wipes, masks, etc last year. Before you say those are basic necessities and figures are not, it is a similar scheme and mentality perpetrated by same type of warped individual.

I found legends 10 vader before the most of rest of the country and he was going for 100 on ebay. I bought the extra and sold it to my buddy at face value. Not everyone just has to scalp at any opportunity. I have left rare figures for others to luck out finding.
