Check your Ollie's. I found a few Bam Bam Bigelows amidst all the Flairs. Very random. Nice I would prob scoop an extra bam bam for cheap! |

I've had zero issues finding any Superstars. I also hit a LOT of Walmarts so I see the differences Everything past Wave 3 is on the same ordering UPC. So if you're store has 15 Redpants Hogan you're not going to see new ones any time soon until those move. And they won't go on clearance because that would mean Walmart is changing the entire SKU #. If your store also has Rock, Natural Disasters, Piper, etc.....same thing. Also look at the pegs, if there's only 1 peg for Superstars it means that's a light store for ordering. They won't be getting much. I legit go to a few Walmarts like this, I want to test out a theory and clean out one of these stores with the pegwarmers, then see if they actually re-order and get the new wave(s)...then just return the ones I bought to different stores to "spread" the wealth, lol These things are being bought by Walmart, shoved into their distribution centers and then siphoned out to stores as needed. I have one near me that has a tag for Superstars on the shelf below the pegs, and they're getting like 4-5 cases of each wave because they're selling. The inventory number of that store must be high too so that when a certain amount go through the register it triggers a new order. The Superstars line has been way easier for me to find than Monday Night Wars...which is an absolute disaster. I stand by my theory. They aren't using any sort of inventory system to generate orders. You could have 15 red-pants Hogans and get a fresh case of new Superstars TOMORROW..... or you know what? They might just send another case of Red Pants Hogans. How do you think they GOT 15 Red Pants Hogans to begin with? They aren't following any sort of inventory system and nobody in the store is placing orders. Likewise - I feel that you could buy out their entire Superstars stock and that shelf will likely sit empty for another two months. It's completely random - Distribution gets in 50 cases, and divides them out to as many random Walmarts as they see fit. I've seen 3 Walmarts get identical pallets of toys on the same night. You can't tell me that their inventory systems all send the same stuff out on the exact same day. There isn't a system, I've seen too many Walmarts sit COMPLETELY empty for months and months to believe that there is. |

Lets recap some problems with this line that have yet to be addressed.
1. Cases are too small (mainly a width problem, 80% of the figures i see are already damaged before the figures are even taken out. The first figure usually always gets a bent corner on the bottom left side if you are right-handed based on how it has to be nudged out. Employees don't know ?or care) to turn the box upside down and letting the top figure slide out allowing access to the next figure which is usually always mint. Then the cycle repeats for the bottom 2 figures.
In short: mattel needs to increase the width of these boxes so figures sell through faster. Everyone is picky about condition these days and a little ding could be the difference between a hot seller and a peg warmer.
2. Figure assortments x1,x1,x2 are failure at epic levels. If this is the result of a thinktank group chat on skype than fire all those fresh-out-of-college employees. Sorry if that is harsh if you are rhat employee reading this but there is a reason why 99% of all case assortments are either x2,x2,x1 or x2 infinity. This allows the chase figure to sell through but leaves some even amount of figures in the assortment to stay behind so 1) people know the@ exist (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!) AND AND ....AND MORE IMPORTANTLY .....IT DOESNT LEAVE A CLEAR PEGWARMER ON THE PEGS so sell through is random and based on popularity or the missing piece to the completist.
In short, in the case of superstars i agree with others above that a x1,x1,x1 assortment is better but a x2,x2,x2 being best and moving the chase to ringside/amazon/creations. Again this line lacks of visibility. Many collectors have already given up on retail... not having the chase available at retail helps curtail employee shenanigans and removes some scalpers from the equation giving them even less reason to shop at walmart since they are mainly there now ONLY for hot wheels and wwe and a few other mattel products.
There is nothing interesting sold at retail from hasbro. Pretty much all the die hards just get their fix straight from pulse. Mattel as always is behind the 8 ball and not in tune with what collectors want (easy transactions and not having to chase after their collectible needs). Most of us are at least 40+, have families, steady job, and dont have time or the energy to drive around all day for big boss man. Mattel needs to wake up and realize we are getting older. We just want to push a button and have it show up at our doorsteps (in good condition!!! Listen up ringside!!!!)
3. Distribution. Walmart... nothing more needs to be said that hasnt already has been said a 1000 times on this board about this walmart specific line killing problem...
4. Lack of 2-in-1 accessories (t-shirts, saIlor hats, etc.. in short lost opportunities for typhoon, macho man (hats/gloves/etc, even hogan (hulk rules shirt),
I would like to see an accessory pack exclusive to ringside with different boot colors/trunks,etc so we can customize are own macho man favorite(for example).

I was at a Walmart late one evening last week while visiting a buddy because he needed dog food. He said we could check out the toy section so I could see how bad it is at his Walmart. They had Series 10 (one case) hanging, so I grabbed one of each and left the other Angle (the other figures were all pre-Series 6).
Ever since I posted here saying I'd have to give up on the line (not out of dramatics; I'd literally not seen anything new anywhere in several months), I've found Series 6, got Series 8 on the Bay with Hogan chase for slightly above retail, and found Series 9 and 10.
The moral of the story is complain online and the figure gods will take pity on you. Once in a long while 😉

I had to hunt often for S4-8, but distro getting better for me ...found S9 on a few runs, but in one day (woo) hit two Walmarts in NW Indiana and got Angle, Bossman and Tatanka. Went to another one and got Rey, Razor and Beefcack. No chase Razor. Might take rest of October off.

Done-ish. I'll keep looking for the chase Razor, but if I never find it, that's fine. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.  I just found these two beauties on the 5th. Great figs! I finally found a blue Boulder, and used that as justification to actually pay full price and not wait for the Boulder avalanche at Ollies in December (or whenever I’m back on the East Coast). Still looking for Bossman… |

My brother found Razor, Beefcake, and Rey this morning. He's gotten me the last three Superstars wave. The only one I've seen has been Kane.

They had razor, beefcake and mysterio at my local Walmart first time, my son got me another beefcake I can turn into zodiac now. There was also a scalper there bought the other 2 and rest of the Monday night series. Crazy!

Recently found this thread, joined to say thanks for this. 2nd Ollies I checked had a case of Bam Bam, wasn't in the main aisle with most of the Flairs, but on a long table running alongside of the toy area.
I can definitely echo the sentiments of most with what a pain finding these are, I was able to casually get them at my local store until Wv5, which hasn't restocked since. Checked out 8 other stores in the past two weeks, most are stuck on some combination of red Terry, MDM, Kane and Angle. I found one store with a single full wave 11, another one had 4 Rey and another 6 without any Razor/Beefcake, scalpers are on top of their game. |

I get Ollie's getting truck loads of Flair and Hogan since that was series 1 and was likely produced in greater numbers, and distributed in cases of the same figure. But Bam Bam was one of the difficult ones to get, and if I'm not mistaken, he shipped with Mr. Perfect, as well as Hogan and Piper that double-shipped with the subsequent series. I don't believe Bam Bam shipped in cases with just him. Weird that we're seeing just Bam Bam. Haven't seen any reports of Mr. Perfect at Ollie's. |

Stopped at Ollie’s this morning they had about 6 Bam Bam Bigelow superstars on the shelf with about 200 Ric flair still. So it explains where the bigelow went after they didn’t hit a Walmart shelf. Wonder why Walmart offs them to discount stores rather then sell them for discount on their own shelves.
