I cannot be the only one pissed off at this. Waited before buying one for 40-50 bucks only to see him hanging at every ollies now for a fraction of the price. Disgusted with it. Also due to the fact that these are single cases of bambam as we saw single cases of mr.perfect being sold from sultan.

For me It was all the driving around not knowing that mattel sold them to ollies. No damm transparency
We are all chasing bananas. How hard is it to say; ""Hey guys just letting you know that Bambam will be available later at discount stores and mrperfect from sultan on ebay, so dont bother driving around and wait it out until at least series 7 comes out"". But no nothing. Mattel does not care about us. This is clear to me now. I remember clearly when hasbro employers let people know through interviews in toyfare magazine and action figure digest when the orange carded holo series with pote sniktin was moved as an exclusive through the star wars club (their early version of pulse in partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd.) They were constantly keeping people in the loop.

But as I have said, once hard to find figures become available at discount prices,the secondary market will drop off. Many People will stop buying them from sultan and in return he will order less from Mattel. But it is all a pipe dream until we see previous series show up. S1 & 2 have all been available for cheap. Now bambam. Just a,matter of time before s3-7 get discounted. If andre ever shows up for 10 bucks than sultN may opt to go all in with mnw and give up on superstars. He may get stuck with 10$ mr.perfects soon. I hope this wakes people up. Do not buy from sultan. Let the house of cards fall on him. He wanted to be the exclusive dealer with mr.perfect so let him eat them and all the razor ramons he has.

Dude.... what you are describing..... is NOT how business works; A company is NEVER going to tell you "hey, don't bother buying these from us, we're going to be selling a bunch off to clearance stores. Save your money." This is not a real expectation.

For whatever reason - - - and YES I'm sure it is a stupid reason - - - Mattel made a certain number of these and Walmart wanted less. Walmart sold the ones they took to customers, and then either Walmart sold the rest off at a fraction of the price (in which case, Walmart LOST money on these) or Mattel was put into the position of having to unload them and did just that.

Enjoy the $10 discount figures but you can not expect to be notified that a business is going to clearance stuff. Even if their reasons don't make sense.

I'm a pretty sharp bargain shopper - but I do view anything I find at Ollie's, or any other Clearance Section or sale as a total BONUS. I never expect to find anything at Ollie's or on Clearance. Just enjoy the cheap figures.

edit: i didnt say dont buy them from mattel. Mattel does not have them available anywhere on creations. I was speaking about a heads up that mattel themselves sold the bambams to ollies. Hasbro did in the late 90s. Just read the articles/interviews in toyfare/action figure digest/whites guide/wizard/previews/gijoe collectors club/star wars insider, etc. You are completely wrong on this. Also dont forget hasbro reps were frequently at toysrus and shared what they knew with customers.bmattel is not collector friendly dude. Come on you know this too. Sorry bro but i have been at this for a long time, i know my history as i lived it. Mattel notified collectors numerous times down the line. The orange carded greedo wave was only available on the east coast. Hasbro reps then shipped them to the west coast where they were sold for 2.99$ at toysrus. All through communication and listening to their base (collectors). They were not prioritizing entertainmentearth or toybiz. A good business who wants to keep their customers will keep them in the loop. Mattel fails at this. Just look at the q&a thread.

Bonus or not, noone expected this. So many people had to go to paul to finish out their missing pieces. We will see how you feel if one day mnw show up somewhere at discount after you paid 5x just at retail.

Just because a company doesn't do it now doesn't mean they didnt do it before. Its like tooltips in videogames. They didnt exist then but they do now. We can question if it is or isnt good business but it does not take a rocket scientist to find out people don't like to be treated as morons. The bambams come in a single case without other figures and direct from mattel. I mispoke when i said walmart sold them off. Obviously these are not the regular case assortments from s6. This is on mattel. Should we be happy? Noone likes throwing money away.

Went to 8 ollies in NJ toda. I can confirm all of them had them. One case of 4.

My friend you still aren't looking at this like an actual business;

Mattel isn't going to offer Walmart exclusive figures (Superstars) then message the collectors "hey if you can't get it at Walmart, don't worry, we're sending a bunch to Ollie's Bargain Outlet for half the price". Mattel has a partnership with the largest brick & mortar retailer in the world, Walmart. They just aren't going to undermine their agreement like that. Mattel is obligated to honor that partnership, even when Walmart probably doesn't play fair by reducing their order and leaving Mattel holding extra product.

I truly don't think Mattel OR Walmart WANT to sell off product to Wholesalers or Clearance Stores. But when there is product that they feel they can't or won't sell - it's a necessary practice. And we (the customers) DO benefit by getting the bargains. I refuse to look at that as a bad thing.

Walmart has well-documented distribution problems and they don't seem too worried about fixing it - - - so this is just the way it's going to be.

Look at it this way - - - If Ollies is selling them for $10, they probably paid $5 each (or less) for them from Mattel. I'm sure they buy pallets of them. SultanSwat or Paulmart are taking those same $5 figures and selling them for $30=$50. God Bless Ollie's for bringing us the bargains. Screw those resellers.

Now I’m confused, because I had perfect and bam bam hidden in a store for you to drive up and get which you did come drive up from your place in PA and get. Series 6 is perfect and bam bam bigelow, mr t and rick rude which I pulled and hid at Walmart. I hid them in the figure isle and you drove up and picked up which ever ones you wanted. 

The distribution seems to be getting a little better for Superstars. 2 to 3 times the latest series Rey Mysterio, Beefcake and Razor have been available at my closest Walmart. Haven't seen the chase Razor yet. As of Sunday Rey Mysterio was still sitting on the shelf, and they put another set out, which quickly sold. I bought that Brutus my second to make zodiac out of.
