So Chris Benoit won the WCW World Title at Souled Out 2000. That was so exciting and huge at the time for all Benoit fans.
If he had stayed in WCW, what do you all think he would have done in that year?? How long would his WCW World Title reign last??
Would he be a multiple champion??
Would he have taken a backseat to Jeff Jarrett during the Millionaire Club vs. New Blood story line??

would've lost the world title inmmediately to jarrett and dropped down to reliable midcarder that can be slotted into the main event if needed, ala Jericho in WWF.

He would have been sorry He stayed. Russo's crush on JJ would have been inflicted on Benoit instead of Sid.
He likely gets replaced in rhe feud immediately after the loss with Sid too.

He definitely left at the right time
No doubt wouldve lost the belt quick with him being easily lost in the shuffle by the time the New Blood/Millionaire's Club stuff started

I read somewhere he was going to defend the title on nitro the following week in 3 matches and win all the matches. That was the pitch to get him to stay, but it didn’t work.
