The GOAT of Rumbles took place in Albany NY. Like I said the other day here, I lost count how many times I watched this show over the years
Great opener between the Orient Express/New Foundation,Piper winning the IC belt in a special moment, Beverly Brothers/Bushwackers was stinker of the night but Bobby(who was priceless all night long) helped it along,Disasters/LOD was fine for a big man match and the Rumble match speaks for itself.
''With a tear in my eye'' indeed

Wow can’t believe it was 30 years ago. 12 year old me had been a fan for 15 days at this point and had no idea who Flair was or what he was capable of. Had you told me he would last an hour and win the whole thing I would have laughed at you. And I know Mr Perfect and Bobby Heenan aren’t the type of guys to say they told you so, but……….
Aldo 30 years ago today since Vince belted out the line “HAAAAKKKUUUUU”

For me, I liked the 1991 Royal Rumble PPV event a lot more than the 1992 one.
That aside, the 1992 Royal Rumble event was history making with just the WWF Title being on the line in it and Flair finally winning the WWF Title after years of being NWA Champion.

Great Rumble. Probably the best ever. I think my favorite part of the whole rumble was the two minutes that Flair and Piper were in the ring together. That was fun stuff. I still don't know how creative thought the ending of the match would make Hogan look good, or that the fans would cheer him.

I still consider the 1992 Royal Rumble as being the end of the Golden Era. The star power is just absolutely insane especially when you see what the roster looked like at the end of the year.

Best ruble in terms of the overall story told. Great performance by Flair in the match and in the post-match celebrations.
