I honestly dont know if my home insurance covers my collections, i havent looked into what would be needed to do beyond that. Recently my son and I counted all our wwe and black series and marvel figures and did a basic price of $20 per figure and i think we were in the $60,000 range of just what would have probably been spent over a 20-30yr span

My wrestling collection wouldn't be much as I have a habit of selling my entire collection and collecting all over again after a year or two. As I'm not actively collecting at the moment due to being away at college, I would say over 1k. Once I receive my new gen arenas, then it'll be over 2k in value. My collection just consists of sealed Mattel figures (mixture of legends, elites and ultimate's). Most valuable figure would be the Legend series Rockers two pack signed by both Shawn and Marty.
However my main collection of graded TCG cards would be close to $60,000 as they spiked way up during COVID than crashed in value within the past few months. For values I look at past listings on eBay or PWCC auctions.
My collections aren't insured so if a fire happens I get nothing.

Very hard question to answer, because you literally only could tell, if you sold them and see, what selling the collection brings. You sell as a lot, no one will pay you some 10 oder 15 k for a complete collection. I have about 1.200 figures leading all the way back to Series 1 in 2010. I have every Character ever made, almost every Exclusive or Chase ever made, likely a 100+ MOC. If I'd asked an average $20, it would be 20k. Some figure are worth $1, some like RSC Bret Hart in pink or Harley Race may be worth hundrets. To answer the question, I would say, my collection has a value of 15-20k and I probably paid 20-25k to buy it!

That sounds immense but based on what you have said there, I’d say your collection would be worth a lot more than 20k. I know a guy just before lock down sold his collection (individual figures not as a whole in one lot) and he had about 300 figures, a few rarer DMs and Old legends but not many and no super rare stuff and even back then when prices weren’t as high as they are now, he got just over 10K. Loving the feedback, just find it amazing how big peoples collections are and also how we all just keep collecting and have no idea what we are amassing in value. I collect for the love of it, not to make money, I just find it so interesting how crazy values can be and it feels like it’s not going to slow down.

I don't have a idea on total worth of Mattel WWE stuff,I probably have close to 100-125 elites not counting basics and battle packs but I haven't bought any of them for a while. I don't keep a eye on the aftermarket so I don't really know the most expensive, I'm guessing MOC SES Punk,UE Bret,Warrior,HBK and Triple H(2). I haven't been collecting Marvel Legends to long maybe since Endgame but I have a huge Funko collection,on the app it says over $16k. I also have a lot of vintage TMNT and Ghostbusters and some newer Neca Turtles and couple Lego sets. I had no idea Funko had that facility on their app…would be great if there was something for Mattels that was the go to other than eBay. I guess with trading cards it’s still kind of eBay but grading seems more prevalent in the card game and I guess these give more of a firm idea on values.

I have close to 700 MOC figs with about 200 of them signed. My collection room is getting full. Collection is probably worth $25k
On a side note I had a house fire in 2017 and lost everything. Luckly I had an inventory of every figure and my insurance looked up every value and itemized them all and paid me for everyone that I lost. Probably close to $10k at the time. Very grateful.

I'm the kind that doesn't see his collection as profit. I wouldn't even sell them because the kid in me would kick my ass lol

I sold 31 MOC elite figures on Ebay before Christmas and made £1350 after charges and postage costs. That averages out at £43 per figure. I had another 33 up that didn't sell for the price I wanted. I have probably another 50 MOC that I never listed, plus a couple of big plastic tubs of loose figures, mostly elite, mostly flashbacks. So maybe I had £5k worth?

That’s incredible, any idea what they used to value them? Assume some of them were too old to purchase brand new?

They had some of my highend autographed stuff they valued at $50-$75 and some random easy to find elite at $40. It was all over the place but in the end I thought it totalled out fairly.

my entire wrestling figure collection is definitely "worth" tens of thousands of dollars. if you average just my mattel elites to a value of $25 each (which is taking into account things like a loose Orton probably worth $15, and a loose Stone Cold probably worth $30) that's around $23,000
and thats only elites. i have basics, the entire retro collection series 1-10, hasbros, BCA's, R3's, TTLs, MOC exclusives....all of my Ringside exclusives MOC is probably a few thousand total
it would take FOREVER to figure out an actual value of everything, but i'd estimate it's somewhere in the 50k range
this is going on value based on what figures have been selling for the last few years. its definitely increased a lot.

Yeah there are a couple different apps for Funko products that keeps track of total items and value. I would love if there was something like that for everything I collect, its so easy to keep track of everything that's in your collection.

15 grand at least because of the AEW chases
To me it’s all priceless though because my personal enjoyment of wrestling and collecting figures outweighs any monetary value you can put on it

A couple grand. I collect loose, so the rare figures I have depreciate in value, but I also have like 300-500ish figures. Somewhere in the ballpark at least, I need to recount soon.
