Had a thought just now about how interesting it can be when a wrestler changes their gimmick or are transitioning slowly, but they are in a weird period where they use their older gimmick theme. Therefore the theme no longer suits them to a degree.
For example:
- Rick Rude coming out to his old theme once in 1997 but acting as an enforcer for the early D-Generation X - Mankind in 1998 coming out to his old Ode to Freud theme but becoming a comedy babyface - Eddie Guerrero using his Latino Heat theme in 2002 (before Los Guerreros) but portraying more of a cold-hearted heel - Heel Rikishi using You Look Fly Today before he used Bad Man - Stone Cold Steve Austin using the Ringmaster theme up until around October 1996 but having ditched the gimmick back in June that year
Any others you can think of?

Triple H still using the Ode to Joy theme in the latter half of '97 while already doing DX things with HBK but prior to the debut of the DX theme song was pretty funny.

I remember in 2016 when the Uso's went heel and stopped wearing the face paint and such, they still came out to their baby face music for a bit, which looked so weird since they were walking to the ring and supposed to be all mean looking now, when their music was all up beat still.

Scott Steiner using "Steinerized" theme song for his 2000 singles run since there was no NWO anymore he couldn't use that theme, and they didn't have the "Holla if ya hear me" theme song yet.

Not classic but Roman still used The Shield theme for a bit after turning heel in 2020.
Orton becoming “The Viper” but still used Burn in my Light for a while.
Batista turning face against HHH but didn’t get I Walk Alone until mid-2005.
I remember Shawn still using Sexy Boy for a while in 1997 after forming DX.

Scotty Riggs still used the American Males theme until around the time he joined the flock. X-Pac used the DX inspired version of his theme & wore the DX gear for months & months after DX was finished. Both the Hollys used the same music for a bit after they stopped teaming. Malenko & Saturn kept the radicalz theme even after the group broke up. They got their own themes then once they stopped teaming.

Kevin Nash used the nWo theme during his run in 2011.
Both Bradshaw and Faarooq used the APA them after their break up in 2002.
Jacqueline & Terri kept the PMS theme for years after they split.
When Undertaker debut his Ministry gimmick he briefly used Graveyard Symphony.
Al Snow also used his original theme long after the Head gimmick ended.
The Miz kept his theme for a while after he dropped The Chick Magnet gimmick.

Realizing Randy had burn in my light until like judgment day 2008 was odd, Randy as a character could of probably started using voices in the summer of 07; even though I think Randy started his viper transition from rated Rko and didn’t complete it until he came back to wwe in the fall of 08
Roman is good recent example
Cm punk using killswitch engage in the start of the wwe summer of punk
