Who knew we had so many people from the sales department of Mattel and more design team members 🤔😮

Looks at Brock ultimate and scsa ultimate. Yup too generic for this line. If you think Lex ing Luger is on the level of either of those two though you’re insane. They got Ultimates because despite plain ass attire, they are two of the biggest stars in wrestling history. Luger is a footnote compared to them. Yeah and by that you were clearly born after 1995. So you opinion on such matter means absolute jack didly. Believe it or not, Luger did A LOT more for the business then bray ever did. If luger is a footnote, than bray is a damn fart in the wind.

I was looking forward to a Wrestlemania attire Fiend but yikes, I’m glad I didn’t preorder it. Something about the head/shoulders looks way off to me and the top doesn’t look good.
It kind of feels like they just quit working on it when it was announced he was released. The jacket doesn’t really make sense for the accessory.

I’ll bite. By what logic is the line dying? The sets seems to consistently sell-through everywhere on line, none since Nakamura seem to hang around store with any regularity. And I say that as someone who has no interest in either Bray or Alexa. Repeat characters is not the way to go haha There have been 26 mainline Ultimate figures released or announced so far, 22 separate characters. The only repeats being being Cena, Bray, Rock and Hogan (and frankly the difference in appearance/era/and character between 1999 Rock and 2013 Rock and 1997 Hollywood Hogan and 1985 Hulk Hogan is so large they might as well be different characters). In the Amazon Fan Central Exclusive line, there have been (off the top of my head) 6 figures announced: Hardy and Goldberg are both Ultimate debuts, 93 Hogan and 90 Warrior are once again so different from previous incarnations that they might as well be different characters. That leaves two straight repaints: 95/96 HBK (who everyone wants multiples of) and DX Triple H (who admittedly is a weird choice). Then there’s Target Batista, whose another Ultimate debut, and if you really want to get technical there’s the SDCC Slaughter and the New Gen ring Diesel, Doink, and Macho. That brings us to 37 Ultimates total, 27 different characters, and most of the 10 repeats being so radically different that they arguably merit being counted as a different character. TK;DR There are valid complaints that could be made about the line overall, repeating characters really isn’t one so far.

I’m looking at this figure again and I have to say that I wish it had a different hair piece. I wish we got one with his dreads just hanging loose instead to one side. I’m also curious why he doesn’t have the butterfly joints? Clearly, that’s a new torso and new mask sculpt. So why no butterfly joints? Other than that and whatever minor gripes I had prior I still think this figure is cool. I’d rather have the option to have it than to not have Bray’s final look.

I just realized Alexa doesn’t have butterfly joints even though she doesn’t have swappable arms

Lex Luger was a bigger star than Steve Austin is the new front runner for worst hot take of the year Luger may have been a bigger star in WCW than Austin was but he definitely was not bigger in WWF than Austin was. We already know not only which of the two companies lasted longer but also made more of an impact.

just checked WM37 and Fiend never used the jacket, so IDK... figure looks awesome but is a big let down the jacket thing! Yep, Maybe give him an extra head and hands, I’ll say the best should’ve been a separate piece, other than that the figure looks good. I haven’t pre-order it but I plan on getting it.

That fiend looks hilariously bad. The head is terrible. Oh no, anyways one set that you don’t like doesn’t mean a casual won’t like it, this set is not for you? Move along, nothin to see here. I’d you actually read the one sentence I wrote, I didn’t say anyone else won’t like, I stated that I don’t like it. Not discouraging anyone else from buying it, just pointing out the obvious that it looks bad.

the ultimate line is nowhere close to dying. anyone who's saying that is either trolling or really has no clue what they are talking about.
but you cant deny the enormous shelf warming that series 10 Rock & Cena are doing. releasing a 2nd Fiend figure that really is not much different from the first is also not a smart move regardless of how much "merch" he sold". I know these lines are planned out way in advance, but we've seen changes happen to other figures/sets in a shorter amount of time.

As far as Bray though, if you can’t see why one of the highest merch sellers at the time of each of his figures being put into the lineups for this line is a better choice over Lex Luger in 2022, I don’t know what to tell you. Luger can just as easily be released in a Legends or Elite line. He isn’t an Ultimate must. Guys like Austin and Brock were. That was my point. Which none of us even know if he is still under contract considering he hasn’t had a figure in years.

Man I want that batista to be a part of this wave but making ultimates exclusive is really hurting my interest in collecting this line. In general rocks lollipop heads, kane's paint issues have already did it for me though.

Someone in a thread not too long ago said he met Luger at a convention and said his relationship with WWE is great. He’s still signed to a legends contract. It’s really a matter of Mattel. I just wish they would hurry up and give us ponytailed Luger with his black trunks and white boots. We’ve been asking for this figure for years and it’d be unfortunate if something tragic happens like *usual* for Mattel taking their sweet time. I wouldn’t even mind if they just release this figure as a basic. I’ll just make my own Luger.
